  1. A short would cause a fuse to fail, is this happening? If you are trying to resolve a draw that is draining your battery, suspect a glove box light bulb...
  2. OP, do you have a means to check the TPS signal while actuating it very slowly and check for skips/jumps on this? Does the issue only happen at a specific RPM range? A scope would do wonderfully but a meter will suffice as well...
  3. That looks like the pedal linkage, the rod I speak of can be removed/adjusted after taking the brake MC off the booster studs, unless this is not adjustable on MJs? Even though you have a gap or some play at the pedal, this cannot solve your issue. I experienced this on an all disc swap I did to my 68 Travelall, but because all the components installed were from an assortment of vehicle brands, almost everything had to be adjusted/modded for proper performance.
  4. For some reason I cannot watch your video, I only hear sound. I went through a situation like yours and it was resolved by adjusting the push rod in between the MC and vacuum booster, check it out...
  5. liking them housings, home made?
  6. MrBill61, start from the bottom with a fresh mind, check for power and good ground(s) for the ignition system. Ensure the rotor in the dizzy actually turns and that there is no moisture in there. Seasoned gearheads sometimes get their butt kicked by simple issues that are easily missed. Come back with the result, good day...
  7. Wouldn't an incipient CPS failure cause engine stalling instead of misfiring? Weak ignition wires and/or bad plugs is likely, I reckon it's time for a tune-up OP :)
  8. Yes you can tap it, sometimes if it's only a few of the outer threads that get damaged, a longer bolt will save you.
  9. Changing the engine oil and filter will help clean emissions...
  10. I recommend you use a test light for the stop/turn/tail circuit in conjunction with a schematic...
  11. Man, I did several years at an Auto Electric shop and this was an almost daily affair. I would enjoy straightening it all up for ya, but I'm too far and I (really) take my time on these instances...you can go at it wire by wire upgrading as you go, or if time is scarce but you got cash, get a new harness.
  12. Tutorial on fiber glass application?
  13. Usually there is a diagram decal somewhere in the engine compartment showing the belt routing with and without A/C, if yours is not there Google is your friend...As for the bypass, parts store dude should carry the shorter belt for the non-A/C vehicle.
  14. Send the info man, I got stuff due some customizing...BTW, the relo process has begun, we locked in on Athens/Ardmore, ETA 01 March, see ya around the 'hood...
  15. Coolwind, I went through exactly what you describe, although this was on a Dodge pickup, replacement of the heater core solved the issue, good luck man...
  16. Correct, 5 per assembly, IIRC I got these on sale for under 3 bucks each so I got ten pieces. They are bright enough during mid day which was my concern, I too wished for more lens coverage but eventually I want to build some kind of custom taillights for the rig later on and ditch the stock ones altogether, blah blah blah...
  17. no hijack dudes, but a while back I started to perform the relay installation to drive the headlights but I ran into this harness connector behind the LH HL below the washer bottle, which had all the leads to the HLs. So I take it apart and notice there's corrosion galore, so I decide to try to clean the terminals and it all falls apart. So then I proceeded to solder all the leads eliminating the connector and totally spaced that I was to install the relay circuitry. I then went ahead and turned the HLs on and let me tell ya, these babies were 40% brighter then before! Soon I will still install the relays, but we are about to move to beautiful AL in a couple months, projects are on hold. BTW, this harness connector may only apply to 86 and below but unsure...
  18. Here's some hacking and the LEDs I used...
  19. excuse the lag man, I left the country briefly...pix coming soon.
  20. Hey Key, I actually did something similar to your plan, had to do a bit of hacking to the inside of the taillight housings though (purtists beware ). I'll post some pix later...
  21. 31s look great with the lift, I remember someone mention that lift with those tires look ridiculous...I must like ridiculous.
  22. Husky, clicked your link to check your build but pix are broken, can you update/fix please? Would like to check it out, cheers...
