  1. Then the excessive power passing through the switch caused it to fail because of the short from the O2 sensor
  2. Yep on the oil change. I would get a can of engine flush and pour it over the top of the engine with the drain plug out. I used to have a partswasher pump and an old valvecover I cut open. I'd run it through several times to wash the crud down, fill the engine with cheap oil and ATF mix and a top quality filter for a few weeks, then change it again.
  3. I put a '90 XJ harness in (partially because I'm converting to auto as well)
  4. They have been and want us to be assimilated. I hear they taste like spotted owl?
  5. I tried ZJ front coils in mine and it dropped! It's supposed to be the rear coils that are taller.
  6. Probably the short ruined the ignition switch. That sounds like maybe the CPS harness?
  7. Drill and tap the bumper (top and bottom) for fill/drain plugs. Use water to test. (just not salt water) You could even add water when you need more rear traction and drain it when you don't.
  8. The oil doesn't look milky. I've blended and tried to unblend oil and water/antifreeze (I finally came up with a good way to do it) after running it through motors (usually unintentionally)
  9. Look above the gas pedal for a hose off. 8 XJs and 3 MJs so far with that issue.
  10. When I did SOA rear, I found some swaybar plates from an FSJ that will make repalcement mounts for my MJ (between the spring and axle, which will give a little more lift)
  11. The "seeds" they produce only work one year too.
  12. That water wasn't run with the oil
  13. I would get rid of Monstersanto!
  14. I don't see 255/85R/16 on there?
  15. How about a video of the sun shining off the neighbor's place?
  16. First, swap the fuel pump relay out with the one for the AC. That's what stopped mine before i got it. (ended up at the auction where I bought it) Ground wire on the engine block is next. Possibly internal break in the ignition slider. Easily tested with a new switch plugged in and a screwdriver.
  17. Loose tracbar or wheel bearings
  18. With what motor? The 4.0L only came with AW4 or 42RE
  19. I put 4.10s in my '87 with 4.0L, BA 10/5 and 33" tires. I had NO freeway cruise speed! Power band was negligible. I put 3.73 back in and it rocked!
  20. Maybe my MJ will be ready to go!
  21. Low E gas are usually vacuum loaded
  22. Welding or the battery jump box was hooked up backwards (or someone borrowed the battery and put it back in backwards)
  23. If you get others to try to bleed it and it stays the same, I lay odds your pedal is bent off center, which causes the master cylinder piston to kant in the bore and drag air in past the back seal.
  24. LPG is still $1.65 if I buy 1,000 gallons at a time.
  25. $1500 a year for 7 vehicles with 2 drivers. (USAA)
