the CD manuals are awesome, since you can normally use the "find" function and target specific info. vs the book where you search nonstop
-
right click on it and say open in new tab

it seems to be an issue with internet explorer. google chrome is able to view it

ive been putting off replacing my windshield (old, crappy and small leak up top) but when I do I plan on pulling the visor off (since I have to anyways for the windshield) cleaning it up, repairing some of the chipped fiberglass and putting some flush mount cab lights on it. I think it will look cool. I also thought about doing some amber led strip lighting behind the grille. my buddy did it on his ram with green leds and it looked pretty sweet these also fit perfectly in the embossment on the front and rear bumpers. thought about playing around with them as lower marker/ blinker lights... kinda like the ford raptor has

I like that headlight setup you have. I am new to Comanches but is that the xjw conversion you were referring too? thanks. the quad headlight header is the Cherokee wagoneer conversion. the harness upgrade is using your factory headlight plug to run relays to activate battery power to the headlights. http://www.amazon.com/Putco-230004HW-Premium-Automotive-Lighting/dp/B001P29X4G

Nothing to report at this moment unfortunately. Once I get a Fey bumper ordered for the rear I have a plan to improve my reverse lighting situation by flush mounting a pair of these in the bumper http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AXP65Y6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_3&smid=AIBUGCLTNYU69. If not those lights, then the more square shaped ones. Then my plan was to create an overly complex switch circuit that would have them tied to the reverse lights. This way I can actually SEE when I back up in dark areas. As far as the switch, I want to be able to kill the power to them so they don't have to always function, and then another switch function to have them on independently to function as sort of a rear work light. That wiring should be a joy to figure out. hmm. so on with reverse, manual on and a defeat switch... you could possibly do that fairly easily, if my brain is working... you could use one normally closed relay and a 3 position switch. center is off, and on normal reverse circuit. up is manual on with a 12V power splice. and down could feed a coil to switch the NC relay open, breaking power feed to the lights

Anything else other then headlights guys? Just looking to spread cool/useful lighting tech

Um the fact there's no speedo port. And I'm guessing probably no splines for a speedo gear either.

very nice. I have a clunk somewhere in my front end, I'm suspecting its somewhere in the arms also -
yup, I forget which wire it is... possibly the center one? check to see its attached well. and try bending the tab around the brass rivet, or putting a drop of solder on it.

Driver's side sag

I'm anal about sliding off the seat, in both my TJ and MJ I put my hand in the door sill first and hold my weight up and kind of mini jump/ pivot out without sliding my weight -
theres 3 wires to those lights, constant switched and ground, if they work perfect on constant , like you said, then the issue lies with the switched lead on that one dim one
-
I like the LED headlights, but not up here in MA in winter. those things would ice up solid in no time
-
FWIW I put a renix aw4 in my HO and it was all plug and play still
-
my drivers does that from time to time and if you tap the light it normally flickers and works again. I also have the LED light version, not sure about you
-
sounds like an issue with the light itself. both should come on. I have those same lights and the brass rivet holding the ground on can be a little poor of a connection. try playing with the connections a little bit
-
Hahaha. OK fair enough
-
Do they have a high low feature? At least here in MA, you need both to pass inspection
-
Mmm interesting.... I just ask why?I wanted something different. And that wouldn't get busted out while wheeling. PERFECT! Is it a registered vehicle? The state doesn't give a hassle on inspections?

NP 231 vs NP242 shifter differences

Yeah I'd probably just cut and notch the gate to remove without touching the handle at all
