I'm also a HUGE maxxima led fan. You can find them all over eBay. I never had one issue with any of there products. Its now the only LED brand light I buy
You may also be able to tell by jumping the ballast resistor with an online amp meter and see what the pumps pulling for amperage. Id imagine if it were clogged it would be pulling high
My buddy has a 96xj that was used as a yard truck at a junkyard. So it had all the bogus gas poured through it. It idled like crap. And WOULDNT go past 2500rpm while driving. And gave issue in park at around 3000-3500rpm. It ended up being the fuel strainer in tank was clogged nearly solid. I'd pull your sending unit and check the screen.
I have 3" lift up front will hell creek leafs and 1" shackle. and fit 33x12.5 on aftermarket rims ~3.75-4" backspace with minimal full crank control arm rub
I have this same basic set up, 3.5" ZJ-HD IRO springs up front, metric ton leafs out back with a 1" shackle, and bilstiens all around. I sit with a roughly 1" front rake. and the ride quality is pretty good too.
I love the 8.8 in my TJ. no complaints here. one note tho is they have a track record for weak diff covers, if you offraof at all id pick up an aftermarket cover, or the plate armor from bad apple fab
ive herd of a lot of people welding two strips of angle iron across the frame rails (similar to what 1st deuce did) and then hooking the factory straps to that instead that way your tank is completely supported off the frame indefinately
I really want to convert to a 242. I have the earlier 21 spline input. And trying to find other case differences between type sets. On if I should try and find a 21 spline or convert a 23 spline to 21.
to buddy this question, the 231 cases differ in that the early ones (with vacuum disconnect) don't have a true neutral. is this also true with the 242? and did they use a vacuum disconnect or did they have full solid shafts?
this is false... if you look up new processes id chart the second character is strength, thus a 242 is technically stronger then a 231. I think most people replace them with a 231 just because of availibility
