  1. I see you have the same curvature issue I did. The urethane the auto glass place used was thick stuff and applied enough to almost overkill it without it bulging out the sides of the window frame. Not a single leak.
  2. My review of the slider, which I am quite happy with now that it's been a few months. Great product, but get it professionally installed. Customer rating 4.0/5.0 March 6, 2012 By Oceanic815 Amazon Verified Purchase The CR Laurence sliding rear window for 86-92 Jeep Comanche is well built and functional, however, please be aware of the following: - The 'solar' tinting is darker than it appears in the image. - The window includes sticky tape and four screws for installation. - The curvature of the window is a bit much, which leaves gaps between the window frame and truck on the sides once it is installed Professional installation at a professional auto glass shop is strongly recommended. The included instructions suggest using the sticky tape to hold the window in place, and the four included screws to hold the window to the truck. This method will lead to leaks as the sticky tape breaks down and will rely on the four small screws to hold the window in place. No rubber gasket is included; this window must be installed using black urethane rubber sealant to prevent leaks. The curvature issue can be resolved by use of black urethane rubber sealant. 4/5 stars.
  3. I too am going to go with ball joints by your description and setup of your rig [same as mine]. I just changed mine this year and it made a world of difference. Doing them sucks, and you'll want to do both sides instead of just one.
  4. Anyone spotted their MJ on Google streetview? They finally photographed the small city I live in, and there it is, along with me working in the side yard. Anyone else spot theirs?
  5. What's wrong with another stock muffler to keep it quiet? You're just going to rile up the neighborhood with a noisy exhaust, and get sick of the drone when on the highway.

    decals

I'd like to find those too even for just the hood, but it looks like its going to be a custom project with a signage shop since nobody produces a kit that I am aware of.
  8. LOL. Warranty voided via feel-up.
  9. Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner on vinyl- works great with a small [nail] brush. Just remember to wipe it down with a damp cloth when you're done.

    CRACKERS!!!

We have a small stockpile of Better Cheddars, dill Triscuits, and Wheat Thins at the office in an unused filing cabinet drawer which we use for emergency snackage.
  11. Can you post a couple of photos of what it looks like in place? I don't have any pics with good lighting, and will have to unbolt the canopy to get any further pics of it. Next time the canopy is off, pics will be posted in this very thread.
  12. my 88 4.0 4WD gets 14-19 mpg but i average 16.5 - 17 depending on my driving. If you want you can keep track of my MPG at Fuelly.com, my user there is Blue88Comanche here is a link http://www.fuelly.com/driver/blue88comanche Oceanic815 also has his Comanche on there as well I think his MJ has the 2.5L Correctamundo.
  13. This is the one I picked up: http://www.amazon.com/C-R-LAURENCE-Duo-Vent-1986-1992-Comanche/dp/B004ARJXUM/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top. Note the review I placed on the item. I have had no issues with this slider post-installation.
  14. Just wanted to toss out there that I have ordered from Rocky Road a few times and have never had a problem. Orders were received within a week of being placed and items received work just fine. My $.02.
  15. I've taken my 2wd on OHV and ATV trails without ever becoming stuck/stranded. Now, where's that video of the guy in Moab with a Crown Victoria? Ah, here it is:
  16. What's wrong with the 10-hole studded wheels that are on there now? I have a set for my winter whees and think they look great... even if they are a little on the heavy side.
  17. Check to make sure the connections at the horn aren't corroded. Take the horns off, clean everything, reinstall, and give it a whirl. This helped with my rig but I upgraded to airhorns a few weeks later.
  18. Affects Sebrings of similar vintage too, the gauge cluster issues.
  19. Would that be the 2.5 Litre "Lower Output" emblems? :brows: It says none such thing. Its implied.
  20. More beans, Mr. Taggart? But this thread reminds me to put my 2.5 Litre emblem back on.
  21. I like the shorty bed, but wonder where the fuel filler door is?
  22. If it has a clear title, I could run it on the road up here [no state inspection or emissions]. I just don't have $2.5k to spare or a way to retrieve it.
  23. When I did my clutch last year, I took my flywheel down to the local Napa machine shop for just that.
  24. Eh, then something is amiss. Else wise you have the most fuel efficient 2.5L AMC engine on the planet...and not even by a little bit, but by a long shot. I've seen plenty of people tossing around numbers in the 24-26MPG range from that engine, but 36...that's quite a jump. I have tracked my 2.5 on fuelly.com http://www.fuelly.com/driver/oceanic815/comanche and am averaging 19.5 at current. Highest mileage for a tank I have received is 22.0 mpg. This mileage is with a canopy on the bed, the truck tuned up, fluids changed regularly, tires properly inflated and wheels aligned, no A/C, shifting early so it almost lugs down, and doing a maximum of 55 on the highway. This is with a 4-speed manual. The mileage I am receiving is about what the EPA says I should be getting according to the chart from the cash-for-clunkers campaign. I'm hesitant to believe regular claims above 25 mpg in a similar rig... a one-way trip from the mountains to the coast or living somewhere very flat such as southern Alberta, yes- over the course of several months, no. June 2014 edit: I was able to hit 25 mpg for two tanks in a row in May 2014; to do this, I did not exceed 50mph [unless coasting downhill], shifted early, started coasting to a distant stop very early [1/8 to 1/4 mile [more on hwy], had my tires aired to maximum sidewall [50psi], empty bed, no canopy, did almost no city driving [highway only], and was very light on the gas pedal while accelerating. However, for the guys with the 33" tires doing 80 stating they get 25mpg, I call BS.
