  1. Installed my recently received 7/8" rear sway bar. :jump:
  2. Start searching for a new-to-your 35 now, and take your current axle to your local metal recyclers for a few bucks after you swap em.
  3. I run the spidertrax on mine and have zero complaints. The rear looks good with them.
  4. Don't forget! If you wake up late for church [or other obligation] you have no one to blame but yourself!
  5. Finally received my rear sway bar. If the weather holds tomorrow, I may have the opportunity to put it on! :clapping:
  6. Better stay away from 1989 Corvettes too, then. Note the 85 mph speedo. /sorry about the image size.
  7. Yeah yeah yeah, nail me on a skip-the-entire-hour technicality. ;)
  8. 02 Ford Escape XLT 3.0 4WD No Boundaries - 116,000. Not tracked, but old calculations is 25 Hwy. 87 Comanche base 2.5 2wd SB - 183,000. 3" lift. 4sp 2wd. 2.5 liter inline 4. D35 axle. No A/C. Front bug deflector. Canopy. Studded 235/75R15 on OEM aluminum 10-hole wheels and 2 bags of sand in bed from Nov 1 to Apr 1, touring 235/70R16 on Grand Cherokee Silverstar wheels and no sand all other times. Stock gearing. Fresh oil change, air filter, fuel filter, synthetic gear oil, diff oil. 86 Comanche X 2.8 4wd LB - n/a. Rolling shell sans engine. Not Tracked By not listing things which cause wind resistance or aerodynamic drag (lights, lifts, etc.) or other variables (canopy, high or low rolling resistance tires, heavy or lightweight tires/wheels, old fluids, etc.), just asking engine/trans/gearing isn't going to yield accurate fuel economy results, and in turn the results can vary wildly from one similar vehicle to the next.
  9. Just a reminder- Spring forward, Fall back on Sunday, March 10th at 0200 local time. Should you reside in a location that does not observe Daylight Whatever Time, please disregard.
  10. What's the story on the seatbelts?
  11. 1- I quit smoking on April Fool's Day, 2004 2- I don't like dark meat chicken 3- I will not put ketchup on a hot dog 4- I play Rock Band/Guitar Hero (at almost 38 years old) 5- I am fascinated by but do not like being on the ocean
  12. Had a new rear slider put in today.
  13. I run 235/75/15s in the winter [studded tires] and 235/70/16s in the summer [diff't rims] with no problems at all on my 2wd MJ. You'll be fine.
  14. Mini light bars may help in keeping the wind resistance down and be smaller profile for low-hanging branches on a jacked up rig. Most of these can be had in Amber: http://www.galls.com/search?searchaction=1&category=Mini+Lightbars&path=All+Products%2f%2f%2f%2fUserSearch%3dVenture_id%3d503185%2f%2f%2f%2fVehicle+Lighting+%26+Equipment
  15. So about the Liberty, does it run? May be fun if you put a cage on it.
  16. So, on our Escape, the Uniroyals which we have had on for the past 5 years were beginning to show advanced signs of High Mileage. This week we put a set of 235/70/16 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor on and they have so far been a pleasure to have on the rig. Pretty quiet [can still hear em, tho], beefy tread, stiffer sidewalls than the Unis, and has allowed us to get through what I thought was an unpassable road due to snow. And they look pretty good to boot. I like em! Now looking to replace my summer Conti-Cross branded tires [which suck] with a set on the MJ. Flushed the old brake fluid on the Ford today which required taking off a rear tire, which resulted in pics:

I like the new Fiat 500s that are stateside, but think they're about $5k overpriced. Man, I hope your back improves. I know too many ppl with back issues and thats long-term stuff.

My stepson's 98 GC 5.9 is fast, but would rather have something that goes that fast and is European [Audi R8 as above, a 10 year old Porsche Boxster (lots of bang for the buck), a 20 year old Ferrari 348, even a 'lesser' euro car such as a M-B E-class or BMW 5-series that has already taken the depreciation hit]... they're more of a status symbol. Jeeps haven't been a status symbol since the days of old full size Waggys. Not doggin' on Jeeps or American cars in the least, BTW... every car in my household is American [as noted below] and I love driving my dented Jeep every day.
