I made a water separator from a 10 gal LPG tank for a fork lift, I ran it into a regular water separator just to be sure nothing makes it to my spray equipment. Its worked well for years.

I got the cam off a buddy, he found it NOS to put in his wrangler then decided to do a 4.3 swap instead.

My 2.5l does ok. currently its just got a cold air intake,a flowmaster, no cat, dual E fans, and 4.88s in the axles. (The 4.88s made the biggest difference). I just picked up a header, a Mopar performance stage 3 purple cam, and I'm going to 5.38 gears. also contemplating doing a MPFI swap since we are currently doing a V8s swap on a 95 2.5l YJ. Should move pretty well when its all done.

The FX3000 is a good inexpensive gun I used one for a couple years. I use a Sharpe "razor" with a 1.3 for most base and clear coats, a Sharpe "cobalt" with a 1.8 for primers., and a sharpe FX1000 with a 1.0 for small stuff and touch up. I have a few other guns but these are the ones I use.

He seems to know his stuff, you would never guess he was turning out work like he does from that tiny garage. -

What's funny is my brother doesn't know any of you guys, he said he was picking up an MJ from Cody then picking up some doors from some guy on the way back. Had I known it was your rig I could have told him it had power windows, you can clearly see the switches in your pics. It was a good trip anyway and it was cool to meet Wes, we ended up BS'ing with him for a couple hours. -

Apparently Santa shops at Ruff Stuff, I got some new goodies for the MJ. I've also decided that I'm gonna stick with the 2.5l for now and focus on other parts of the truck. I kinda like the little 2.5l and I can always swap engines later.- 798 replies

My brother did. He was after the front doors, apparently Cody told him that he thought they had manual windows. He ended up getting the radiator and bought a 37 off Wes for a spare. -
What Axle Should I Put In The Front Its An 88
mnkyboy replied to CIARA's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a 4.10 geared 8.8 sitting here at the shop, the guy is going full width so the 8.8 is going up for sale. -

I wouldn't even bother looking for a 3.55 axle, find a 4.10 axle and regear the 8.8 or just regear both axles. In another thread you say you have a 6" long arm which means you want/have big tires,3.55 is gonna suck. -

Kinda depends what your planning to do with your truck. For most wheeling the D30 will be ok with a shaft upgrade. but your probably gonna want to regear both axles,3.55 is gonna suck with big tires. -

Saw the old 98 yesterday, not much left of it. Took me a minute to recognize it. -
That's a TBI injected AMC 2.5l Too bad its 2wd, it could have 4.56s in it.

Looks like a good start. For local stuff I suggest checking out the NAXJA nw chapter, you will find more people in your area then you will here. There's lots of get togethers/meet and greets in the Portland/Vancouver area.
-
This is a loss to CC hopefully he finds his way back. I believe he is still active on NAXJA.

You have the basic idea. Mine are 3/16" plate steel, I made each side in two pieces then welded them together.
-
No, not without an adapter. BA10/5 uses an AMC bellhousing pattern and the AX5 uses a 60 degree GM pattern.

Mine are cut pretty far, you just can't tell with the rustys flairs on it. Its getting tube flairs so I will probably cut some more, I might even make new fenders all together. The goal is to not go any higher with the lift.- 798 replies

I will try to keep doing updates as I go, we have a few other builds going on at the shop so I'm gonna have to juggle things around to work on it. The shop has become way to small. we ordered a 50x80 building but its not going in till probably spring. We also got a 24x48 that's gonna be paint and body going in about the same time but for now we are making due with our current 2 bay.- 798 replies

Got a set of H2s for the MJ, they have a 5.5" bs so with the new axles my width will stay pretty close to my current set up. Now I just need to find some new tires for them.- 798 replies

Haven't updated in a while. I finally decided I'm gonna do a 4.0l/ax15 swap to simplify things, I already have everything for the swap so I just need to do it. The 4.3l and 700r4 is going into a YJ. I also picked up a HP D44 and a D60 so the MJs getting full width and 8lugs, then its getting an exo. Should be pretty cool.- 798 replies

I don't think mine ever got better then about 18mpg back when it was stockish. Don't know what its getting now, I gave up on caring.
-
The throw out bearing retainer can cost more then the bellhousing unless you stumble across one at the junk yard. Its usually cheaper to find an external slave ax15 then buy everything needed to convert one.

Everyone should be adjusting for pinion angle when welding perches.
