If there are the same problems with the Comanche that there are with a Cherokee, then you may have clearance issues with a 4.0L in place of the 4 banger. Most Cherokees need extensive firewall massaging to fit the 4.0L into a 2.5L engine bay.

Can you post a link to that cowl induction hood? Looks great. Jeep should have built the Comanche with one from the factory.

Wade there are a few of us that are lost since we have never seen your truck. How about some pics. Blue

I have not used either brand shown but we had a blind rivet/nut-sert that we used on busses and it worked great. I think it was a Matco tool but not 100% certain on that. It was the shops tool not mine personally.

comanche AX-15 compared to others
BlueXJ replied to dunl's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The research that I have done says that the pilot shaft size changed with the end of the Renix years on XJs which I assume is the same time for MJs. -
Had bad DW on a prior XJ and it turned out to be two different things. Trackbar was worn and the upper control arm busshings were slightly worn . Replaced them all uppers and lowers and then bought a new ZJ trackbar and DW disappeared never to return. Put another 100,000 on that Jeep before giving it to my daughter who is still driving it.

I guess you might think that from what you see, but those are notes and instructions for my essay class. My thesis topic is Gun Control: The Right to Keep and Bear Arms. My final paper is due in about 3 more weeks. Good luck on the presentation and that is a great topic. Did you pick it or was it assigned to you?

Thanks guys! :clapping: I have posted in the correct place now. When do you think this is going down? :dunno:

Cruise is right but you need a lot of stuff to make it work besides that yellow box.

I'm no master welder, but those welds look pretty good. Much better than I could do. :clapping:

I'll take a gray with red lettering and a military green with whatever color lettering both in XL. How long before the order goes in? If it is close to the end of the month I may want another shirt as well, Tan maybe but it needs to have some better choices of lettering colors, maybe black or white with the tan shirts so it stands out better. JMHO!! :dunno:

Pete are we going to get any T-shirts made up anytime soon? I want a couple in XL. Will be wanting more swag but I will wait and order it all when the shirts are available. :clapping: Blue

Please report back on this because I have it to do next weekend. I have a Mity-Vac to use if needed.

What's the best way to remove this?
BlueXJ replied to fiatslug87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The roll pin is hardened steel IIRC. That will start to spin and not easily back out. I have never seen one removed w/o destroying the knob. -
I knew who he was but that is the extent of my knowledge about him. I never followed his career.

How can you go wrong for $29.95 and free shipping. If I didn't already have about 8 lights I would buy a set for that price.

This may make you all hate me but................ You all should be ashamed of yourselves. This man was a great talent who brought joy to many peoples lives. He was a father and also a great artist. He combined the talents of singing, dancing and acting to every song he did. He was very much loved by both the black anf white communities. He had many admired artists as his fans as well. Granted he had some strange ways but we all have our quirks, he could just afford more and larger ones than us. He was never found guilty of any of the things he was charged with, so by the American standard of our legal system he was innocent. That is what an acquittal means for those of you who care to look it up. As for the business head that he had on his shoulders, can any of you claim to have made millions and died as a billionaire? I think you are all just jealous of his success and are just trying to compensate for your own inadequacies.

I thought I was the only freaky guy to read Stephen King. I have the whole 7 books of the Dark Tower series. Nice collection in the Jeep closet.

Looks real good!! Someone commented on your bumper. If you make me one like that I'll send you an MJ bumper.

I know that I have plenty to learn. I was looking at some pics of Comanches on a Car Domine page and saw a comment about converting an internal slaved AX15 to an external slaved one. I would like to read what is involved in this conversion to see if it is feasible for me. Any sources that you can point me to would be greatly appreciated. Blue

First Jeep was really a Willys it was a CJ2A and I was 15. Drove it through HS and well into my early 20s. It was worn out when I got it and I kept patching it up until I got started with a family. Sold it to a guy who logged a lot more miles on it at his camp in the woods of Pa.

Thanks for posting that Jeepspeed MJ. I had not seen it before but I am new to MJs anyway. That is a unique front suspension. Anyone know the story on it?

Money or lack of money always keeps me from great achievements.
