Spindles are easy to weld on them too. Keeps it out of the scrap pile.

You can run it wherever you want it is over the tank to protect it.

Update is much appreciated. I am another Texas MJ owner and my truck came from Pearland. yet another Houston area neighborhood.

It isn't the same. End of discussion. The Model 20 used in the MJ had one-piece axles. Good to know. I was thinking the same thing. I replaced those 2 piece CJ axles about once a month for awhile back then. Finally sold that CJ for that very reason. :clapping:

The one in my XJ had some leaves and pine needles in it and smoked until I cleaned it out. Smoking is a bad habit and un-healthy even for a Jeep.

Welcome Robert. I live a ways south of you in the valley. I have a 89 that needs to be converted as well. I have been gathering the needed parts. Pretty close to having it all real soon. Mine is a 5 speed though. I have a couple of AW-4 autos as spares for my Renix XJ. I also have a few transfercases. All f them will require rebuilds though. I am not offering my spare for sale, just pointing out that the required parts are out there, you just need to search. Good luck and when you get a few minutes you should post up some pics of this pristine bodied MJ. Blue

First I think the Nobel Prize is awarded from Norway. Second he had done nothing but make promises in those first two weeks of his administration before the nominations were closed. Thirdly he had not fulfilled any of those promises to date that he made during those first two weeks. In other words they awarded him the prize because he was not George Bush!!!!!!!!!!
