Sun Roof Or Moon Roof Window In?
vaquaro replied to codymanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
A couple recomendations for sunroof DIY # 1- mask the perimeter before sealing ( no messy clean up ) #2 do not use RTV silcone sealant / use polyurethane " Marine " sealant ( made for under water and much stronger adhesion ) Thats my $0.02  -
Nice to see OPEC racing for something other than our wallets :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

A better solution to staying warm at work ......Buy a re-chargable battery heated vest , I have one and it works amazingly well . 3 heat settings , warms up quickly then lower the setting , it will last about 10 hours . The distributor is in Calgary . It will cost you about $200

The Hazards use the brake light circuit , so the over-ride is normal

I used to work ranches a little south of that area , still go back a couple times a year to visit and ride with old friends at O.K. Cattle ( southern 1/2 of the original Gang Ranch ) in the Big Bar area. As a matter of fact , the avatar I use was taken at the Old Gang Ranch Corrals which is on Big Bar mtn. @ the O.K. summer cowcamp . The vistas from there are amazing .

The waggy front actually looked very good , The truck looked freshly painted , all red with black Eliminator side mouldings and aluminum Waggy grill/lights . Didn't catch what wheels were on it . We just gawked at each other at a 4-way stop ( 'til the horns began to blare ) Ya I've seen that ad , Currently looking at a couple 97-98 XJ 2 drs. as I need rear seats for twin grand-daughters car seats , planning to get them up on horse-back by the fall . There's no way Wifey will let me take her 4-motion on those Cariboo back roads .

Ya , they are few and far between here . More on the Island and Interior areas . I'm going to search the B.C. 4x4 club forum ( or ask Shawn up in Powell River)

Brake Lights Not Working: Help Diagnose
vaquaro replied to Comanchemodder's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Brake light switch bushings worn ? Insert a narrow screwdriver between switch and booster push rod , if you get lights that's the problem . A narrow thin shim ( fold to a " c" shape) will fix it  -
:agree: Somewhat confusing ( versus "B/U" lamp fuse ) but true

Here in B.C. we have "Air-Care" testing annualy / bi-annual for '97 and newer ( B.C. uses California Smog Spec.s) . Ever year I have the same situation during testing , they run it on the dyno , then another guy gets in and runs it again , the finally the Supervisor has a go .I ask him "what's the problem " , he replies the software must be defective because your truck's reading are way lower than factory spec.s for this model .......I patiently tell him the replacement catalytic converters are more efficient than the ones built 20 years ago , thus the lower readings . That should be a good thing , but your dealing with beauracrates ( no common sense allowed ) :fs1:
