  1. 77.5'-79' F250 or F350 front HP44 and rear D60.
  2. Yes use it, unless you're leaking or burning oil badly already. I can't quote specific studies but it's been proven superior to conventional oil for some time. You can do your own impromptu test just by comparing their burn rates. Put a few drops of each on a hot exhaust manifold see which one burns off quickest. Conventional will be gone while the synthetic will still be smoking off. Kinda of a dumb way to test but hey, I was a history major not a chemistry major.
  3. Yes. I keep a spare in my tool box for the day it goes out. They're easy to find in JYs. Usually they're just dangling on XJs with pulled motors.
  4. D35 ring gear size is 7.56", the D44 has a 8.5" ring gear and the Next Gen D44 has an 8.8" ring gear.
  5. Yup, :agree: keep the stock pitman arm if your track bar is in the stock mounting points. I had a 6" lift on my MJ and an adjustable track on the original mounting points. I tried a ZJ pitman because the pass tie rod was almost maxed out. I did get bumpsteer and it didn't seem too bad until I replaced it with the stock pitman arm. Then I realized just how bad it was. Lift isn't the critical factor, the track bar and drag link must be parallel.
  6. Here's another brilliant ad. The longest run on sentence in history. Why would I trust your custom work if you've only got a fifth grade education and then actually fork over 13K? http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/2284603502.html
  7. Lucky dog, I'd trade my 500+ ground missions for 200 air missions any day of the week!
  8. I need one of those, first I need a garage though.
  9. Good Job!
  10. Well it goes into each gear fine, it shifts great. Perhaps its a bearing then. Its a constant high pitch rattling/jingling sound on the highway. Kinda sounds like a rain stick, if anyone knows what that sounds like.
  11. Thanks for the links and info fellas!
  12. Best to go with new U-bolts for your rear axle. I'm not certain if the Dakota rear break line will be long enough. I had a rear YJ line on mine when I first went SOA and it wasn't long enough to allow the axle to drop fully.
  13. If your truck was a woman she'd be Miss America!
  14. $250 is way too high for a D30 given the plethora of XJs available. $100 is reasonable. Try CL or post a wanted ad on the classifieds here. A member may be close to you and have one.
  15. Fellas, My AX15 is starting to rattle a bit at highway speeds. I think it's just the synchros. Everything still works fine, in fact I just got back from a 300 mile trip. There's no grinding and it goes into all gears including reverse just fine. My concern is that it may give up the ghost unexpectedly one day and leave me stranded. Has anyone rebuilt or done a partial rebuild on one of these? I'm not worried about the difficulty, I'm sure I can do it, but are there any special tools needed or anything else I need to be concerned with before (if) I tackle the job. does anyone have a good link with pics of an AX15 rebuild? Thanks, Jay
  16. :D HAHA! Yeah just trying to ruffle some feathers, knew I'd get someone. I should further quantify that comment, Wranglers in Stock form, never been wrenched on, never wheeled, 2wd versions, clean and pretty ones are for girls. Rubis, old CJs, ratty YJs, and full width Wranglers are Jeeps for men. There's nothing wrong with a girl in a Wrangler either, in fact its nothing but right......my daily Match.com search words happen to be "Jeep Wrangler".
  17. There's nothing wimpy about the new Grands and Wranglers are for girls.
  18. I pulled one from an 89 last year.
  19. He never struck me as a racist, and I do like some of the low brow humor on his show....especially his alcoholic mother. The media has clearly allowed a tolerance of racism by minorities. Which is why I like Tosh.0, he cuts no slack to anyone. BTW, I'm no racist and hate anyone who is. Except for Pakis, I hate those guys. hahaha!
  20. Its funny, in Iraq, the Iraqis called Diesel "Gas" and actual Gas as we call it, which was all leaded, was called "Petrol".
  21. Gas in Europe has always been 7-10 bucks....and I believe in 30-40 years, there won't be gas even available (except for cargo transport (semis). The rest of us will all be electric and meanwhile I'll still be running an old Jeep on home brewed Jack Daniels.
  22. Nice Truck! Me likee.
  23. Looking good brother!
  24. Nice work, added as a favorite in my Jeep links folder.
  25. I bought the Halo Reach xbox so it came with the game, still haven't played through it yet.
