If you get a fever, then there is potentially a serious problem. Glad you went to the Doc. Wanna know what could happen? I'm not 100% convinced it was a spider but I had a spider bite shortly before this: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19401&hilit=iraq

Good luck, Only thing I can say is stay away from a T5. I broke about 5 of those behind a 289 in my old 65'. I think one was a World Class too.

Allow me to clear this up, my town has almost 250 people in it so I know what I'm talking about...... Its called a "TIEYRE", that's how its properly pronounced, and it includes the soft part on the outside whether there's small pokey metal thingys exposed or not and it includes also the hard part in the middle, you know the part you put the nuts on! Its all one thing - a "TIEYRE". Also, another little tip for you fellas,,,,they're really hard to pull off unless you actually stop the vehicle. :dunce:

A list of things when rebuilding..?
Comanche County replied to 87Chief's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That sounds like a better plan to me, although the 2.5 does have its own cheering section. -
You are keeping the external slave and bellhousing right? You would be doing yourself a favor.....If not sell it to me!

Scored a Supplier For Jeep 2500 parts
Comanche County replied to r_fin's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Little hesitant but as long as your guy can get an rf tag on the container and we could actually track it and we could maintain positive control, then I'd spring for the $88 bucks. I'd want taillights though. -
A list of things when rebuilding..?
Comanche County replied to 87Chief's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You could probably buy a donor XJ with a good 4.0 for less than the cost of your rebuild. A 4.0 can get the same mpg anyway and still give you more power and torque. -
Motion Offroad Budget Boost?
Comanche County replied to kawaboy13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Depends on what endstate your looking for. If you want to run 30-31" tires and never regear your axles this will be good for you. I'll never have ranchos again on my truck. I've had two different sets, both were extremely stiff and made for a terrible ride. Motion's will be a huge improvement in ride quality at least. If you want to go with 33" tires or bigger then you're looking at more lift, more fender trimming (depending on lift), and you should regear your axles, but by this time you've just opened up a whole can of worms. Stronger axles than a 30/35/44 combo may be in order. I think a budget lift like this with 31s and a rear lunch box locker would make for a great capable and relatively cheap offroad MJ that you can have a lot of fun with. Go any bigger and it gets expensive. If that's the case, save your money until you can afford a complete 4.5-6" kit with everything you'll need. -
Removable door Q

Boys, you'll never know what long hair does for you own personal "CDI" factor until you grow it out and try it. Should've seen me in 1988-1989 of course Skid Row and Warrant were in at the time...sometimes I listen to Dee Synder's House of Hair just to reminisce. I was more thrash back then though. Oh, BTW, cool doors fellas. I'll just roll my windows down though. If I keep drinking beer like I am I'd do a fat boy rolly polly swan dive right out the side of the jeep with no doors. -
I've flown in a lot of MH-60s, in fact every rotary wing A/C JSOC had up until 2002 when I left 2/75 RGR, that's not from a regular MH60, definitely new. Maybe a "Comanche" helicopter that never went into production. Its good to be in a JSOC unit, they get all the toys.

Head gasket preference?
Comanche County replied to Comanche County's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks for the info, I think we'll try it. But do we need a sealant as well? -
Winch help/ MJ weight
Comanche County replied to Blue88Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My MJ is 4400 lbs unless the scales were wrong. But that's with 35s and heavier bumpers, axles and a cage, tools, a couple of Dr Peppers and a can or two of Copenhagen. -
So I'm replacing a leaky head gasket on my brother's 4.2L CJ7, he buys a gasket kit from Carquest that has an all metal head gasket. I'm not too keen on it actually and prefer the other type with the embedded metal rings but only because that's all I've used. Are the complete metal gaskets okay?

Its like having a new baby boy that must be nurtured and pampered, but as he grows older, he's gets to wear big boy shoes, at least 33's. Then you toughen him up, prepare him for the big bad world. Teach him to work out and get strong (upgrade suspension and gears), take him camping (get him muddy), contact football, boxing (trail and rock beatings). Finally a day will come when you will look at him and he's become the man you knew he could be.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. My condolences brother. I love Cops, all cops. We need them to deal with the scum of society and they still get maligned for it. Shame too, most people don't know what they have to deal with on a daily basis.

Very nice, keep that one clean and original.

Is that a pitman arm puller? Should've thought of that. -
87 Comanche project....lots of work to do
Comanche County replied to AKMANCHE's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I wish I had a Manche when I was in Alaska. I had an XJ but I couldn't throw important things in the back of it since it was the family rig. Things like 100 lbs of Red Salmon or Flounder and Halibut, or 45 Arctic Hares and 35 Ptarmigan and 20 more spruce grouse, or a caribou or moose A bed sure would have come in handy. -
Awesome, welcome back Carter!
