  1. I've got BFBC2 on PC, I think everyone is playing the Vietnam expansion right now. I go by Comanche County or MJCommando on PC. Its opposite for me though, between learning the guitar and playing games on PC it gets my left fingers confused and I can't move around fluid enough. Right now we're mainly on the Xbox but I'll send you a message when I get my gaming PC cranked up.
  2. I played Oblivion while I was sitting in the hospital for several months,,,cool game I had fun. But I like shooters best. Just about anything except Black Ops,,,,I get slaughtered on that one.
  3. Sorry to distract you guys with something non-MJ related but I must because its so much freakin fun. Anyone play FPS games on the XBox or PC? I've played PC games over the years periodically but I'm new to the XBox and I've become addicted to it. I've got a clan that I have been currently playing with almost nightly. We play Medal of Honor currently but will try out Homefront and Battlefield 3 (which looks like the best FPS of all time) when they are released. So currently we kill everyone and there's not another clan that can touch us. We're all old guys and looking for mature and cool people who won't get on our nerves to join up with the clan - that's why I posted here. We set up rules and requirements for the clan at our website fps-shooter.com....essentially have fun, be cool, don't cheat. Oh yeah, my gamertag of course is "MJCommando", named after two of my favorite Jeeps.
  4. 79 mph coming down a mountain. With this more stable lift and 4.56s and 35s it'll do more but I'm too scared to try and never in a hurry, especially not to my own funeral. I've done at least 85-90 in an XJ.
  5. Shame on you Sir...
  6. If it's Jeep related it's not hoarding!
  7. You gus are all wrong! I won't that stock Gladiator that got caught up in that firefight when two bank robbers in 97' went into a BoA in Cali all armored up and carrying multiple assault rifles. One of them tried to escape in it at the end of the fight then got shot in the ankles from underneath. Heck, I'd DD it, even drive it to church, take my girlfriend on dates in it bullet holes shattered glass and all. Someone will have to find a pic and post it up.
  8. Good job. It'll always be a feather in your cap in all your future resumes. If I were to interview two equally qualified job seekers but one was an Eagle Scout he would get the job.
  9. I hate frivolous lawsuits.... We should bring dueling back. Anytime someone has a beef with someone else, they can grab a couple of guns and go out in the street and settle their differences like civilized people should. Bringing lawyers into it is just plain mean and dirty.
  10. I let an XJ fall on my leg one time,,,,,lucky for me I have a prosthetic - :D
  11. If you're junkyard savvy go pull a rear axle from any year Cherokee with the same engine tranny combo. I'm not sure of all the 3.07 combos out there but there should be a tag on the axle. Probably time to go with an 8.25 rear end anyway from a late 90s XJ. Theyre a lot stronger. That's if yours is a 4x4. If you've got a 2wd you might be better off getting a 3.55 geared rear end which came behind 4.0s with an auto AW4 transmission and are far more numerous and easy to find. The spring perches will need to be relocated though. Check the classifieds here, I bet someone can ship one to you.
  12. Having put several sets of springs and other assorted parts on my truck and investing a lot of time and money, including gas money searching junk yards near and far, I'd have been better off saving for a complete kit. I learned a lot but in retrospect, if the parts your after aren't readily available, you might be happier hooking up with one of the many friendly XJ/MJ vendors. Some may have some used stuff for you too. Also check the classifieds on Nagca.com for ZJ coils if you do the piece by piece route.
  13. But do you feel a slight hint of guilt for corrupting her, after all this could lead to a lifetime of bad spending choices on Jeep related items. I mean, if there was such a thing.
  14. Thanks to the CAFE standards those small non-Jeep Jeeps are here to stay. If not in their current form then something like them. I look at them as gateway drugs that may pull owners into the truly disturbed Jeepin fold one day (like us). Where would Jeep be today without the unibody vehicles, the XJ, ZJ, etc. Where would we be? It's such an ugly thought. So I won't bash the new little Jeepers, I'll just maintain the hope that they'll either buy a wrangler or new Grand later or go insane and start SAS'ing their IFS Jeeps.
  15. What a cool Uncle.
  16. I like Motion, Adam is a cool dude and I buy from him when I can.
  17. Young is a great player, it's not as if he is a weak link. He can play First or Center but I think the plan is to have him DH. Beltre is said to be the best defensive fielder the Sox' Manager had ever seen.
  18. I hope so since we lost our ace! We'll need a defensive boost.
  19. Good call you're right! that brand new O'reilly's alternator I installed on the trip in is the culprit, whew, that was scary!!! It sounded just like a freaking bad bearing!
  20. It's a whirling noise coming from the front of the engine. I'm hoping it's perhaps the timing chain, maybe a cam bearing? Oil pressure and temperature are good.
  21. I think disaster has struck. :( After finally getting my door open and departing GA back to TX, I think I may have spun a bearing in Vicksburg. I was going to leave the MJ in GA but plans changed, plus the clutch went out in Dad's F250 again and I'd have needed all my tools which are in the back of he MJ. Wish this would have happened in Birmingham, I'd be slappin in a stroker in the Hesco parking lot tomorrow morning. It's still drivable and has plenty of power, I'm not sure if it'll make the 500 miles left to go to get home. I'm hoping I could make it to either Jackson or Monroe, LA if needed. If anyone wants to come on an MJ rescue mission I'll provide the beer, but bring an engine hoist. At least there's casinos here, might win enough to pay for this one. If I don't find an engine nearby I'll procure a tow rig and get her home.
  22. I finally got it open. The belt was wedged in just right so it wasn't allowing the door to actually unlock even though I could turn the key fully and rotate the lock switch on the inside. After holding extra pressure on the lock switch with my arm through the window and my other hand prying with a screwdriver on the latch from the outside, I finally got it to unlock, then it came right open. Definitely something new. No wonder it wasn't opening with repeated Bobby Hull body checks. Just when I thought I knew everything about my MJ it just had go off and do this. I think it's mad at me for all the highway driving lately.
  23. It's hysterical, don't take the revolting stuff serious.
  24. I am going to break something for sure if I put anymore force on it. I'm going to try liberal amounts of liquid wrench, maybe some lubrication will free it.
  25. Its bad this time. I shut the driver's side door on the seat belt. Usually its not a problem, a little shove and it opens. This time it seems to be stuck for good. The belt is wedged in the latch mechanism and doesn't want to budge. I know this sounds like a small thing but I wouldn't post such an embarrassing topic unless I was really stumped. Short of pulling the door panel off, which I don't think would help anyway and I can't get it off with the rollbar so close, there's not much I can do. I've pried and pried with a flathead screwdriver.....anyone have any magic ideas? A blown engine is less aggravating than this. Especially when I'm 6'2" and have to crawl out the passenger side.
