  1. A little this morning but should be fine.
  2. This one wasn't too dreadfully painful but occasionally, the pain would send a flushing sensation up my neck and face and cause an elevated heartbeat. Over all a fun night. Little bit of lidocaine injections and a nice tug and everything was back in order. I tried to do it by myself but, I was too much of a wuss, It hurt too much to tug on it, I did my best but couldn't reset it, gave up and went to the hospital. For you medical guys and girls, its a "PIP" proximal interphalangeal dislocation.
  3. Hahaha!!!! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Jim is in top form tonight!!!
  4. Improved lighting (interior and exterior) for the MJ has been on my mind for a long time. I'm still gathering data and learning. I want some super headlights with high beams that are comparable to the best modern high beams. But I hate those ultra bright white and blue beams. Hate getting blinded by those. Then for extra offroad lights I want something like the tight beams of KC Daylighters, then another pair of forward offroad lights for flood. Something for under the hood switched on demand, also some flood lights under the MJ for night wheeling. For the interior, something like Cracker's that's tied into the door switches, but also lighted vanity mirrors in the visors. I also want improved B Pillar lights but I want them to look stock. Oh, and I want it all to be low amp draw like LEDs......but I don't want to spend 2K for Baja style lighting. This will require a lot more switches and relays. I want the switches high on the headliner. So whenever I get around to glassing my headliner and installing some sort of upper console and have a good cost effective plan for the rest of the interior and exterior lighting (and I have the $), then I want to do it all as one project. I have an endstate in mind, just not sure how to get there without going power shopping.
  5. Good idea, looks pretty easy. This is one of those things I've always wanted to do.
  6. Saw the same seat in 2000 Dak in the yard, but it was too dirty to mess with.
  7. This must have been a special order one-off at an RV shop.
  8. The hidden winch in the rear bumper is so cool!
  9. Hey its FreakJeep, one of the OGs.
  10. I'd imagine that was due to tons of water pressure. It only takes about 6" of fast flowing water to wash a vehicle away.
  11. Dang Terra, that really stinks.
  12. Oops, my bad, she's certainly not married. Yet!
  13. I name everything. Makes life more interesting and fun. Like my girlfriend "Mrs. Super Siren Lady of the Night", cause she's built like a burlap bag full of bobcats and sexier than socks on a rooster. If you've never been inside a burlap bag full of bobcats, then let me tell you....its quite a lot of fun.
  14. Just wondering if anyone out there is prepping for some sort of disaster. Our local Grocery store had a 50% off sale. So I went and burned some bucks on canned goods and such. I guess the impetus for me was Hurricane Sandy. If it had hit coastal GA, I would have been caught with my pants down. My plan in no particular order: I already have a bug out vehicle in the form of a very capable MJ, but I want to finish my MJ trailer and get water, a generator, and food storage built into it so I've got a rig that could support self sustained long term camping if needed. Generator for the house. Get another AR variant. I already have all sorts of army gear and camping stuff. Rain water collection, but I've got a creek behind the house and I could easily purify it. More food stored. Ham Radio. Something I can use in the house and in the MJ and operate on all first responder frequencies. I live in a suburban type area and the houses are pretty close together. But oddly, there's no ordinances against keeping farm animals. So, I plan to build a chicken coop and keep about 10 or so hens in the back yard, that's 8-9 eggs a day. I made some homemade incubators this past summer in TX and incubated and hatched over 100 chicks. Its so silly easy to do and sustain. However, keeping the little chicks alive is a bit of a challenge. Anyway, I'm going to get ready. That doesn't mean going crazy like some of the people on the Discovery show. Mainly, I think the most likely threat where I live is another major hurricane. Am I the only paranoid person thinking like this?
  15. Heat going to the Heater core and the vent door are both vacuum controlled. Look on the passenger side of the firewall and find the heater hoses. There's a bypass valve that allows coolant into the heater core. Find the vacuum line that goes to the valve and follow it and ensure there are no cracks or leaks. Also find the vacuum ball under the passenger side of the front bumper and do the same. Next, operate your temp slider paying close attention to the way it feels. Can you feel any pressure when you actuate the slider or is it completely free? Sometimes the back portion of the lever can pop out of the cable so it looks like its on hot, but its still cold as can be. The fix is some creative bending on the slider arm. 5 min minutes and a #2 phillips and you can have that fixed. This is what mine is doing now. I had an XJ that for some reason would always melt the fan speed slider, when I get an MJ or XJ its one the checks I do, just remove the temp assembly and make sure the wire connectors aren't fried back there.
  16. I've used the kitchen sink, and the bath tub. Jim is right. There's a lot to be said for some Dawn and very very hot water. Another option is to buy brake cleaner by the tub. I believe Napa still sells it. Then get a small pump sprayer and your set to clean anything. Also, restaurant supply stores will have the proper actual 100% full power "Purple Power", not the weak stuff that's on the shelf at auto part stores. Its a strong chemical cleaner that will clean anything but will also give you very serious chemical burns. But if you really want to clean a lot of real dirty parts. Just go get a parts washer from Harbor Freight. It'll run you about $100 plus $35-50 for 10 gallons of cleaning solution and it'll last a real long time. Its much cheaper in the long run than if you counted up all the small bottles you buy over the counter.
  17. Try cleaning it with some carb cleaner before you replace it. They get some carbon build up on them that can easily be cleaned off.
  18. What are you using the air ratchet on? The 36mm axle nut? That should come off pretty easy. Sometimes the outer diameter of the hub gets rust welded to the inner diameter of the knuckle. Is this what's stuck? If so, use leverage like below and turn the wheels, It should pry off.
  19. Did you bleed the master cylinder? It can be done in the vehicle just remove the hard lines, get two extra hard lines, attach them, then route them back up into the MC reservoir. Pump away till no more bubbles. If you didn't bleed the MC, I'd bet that's where your problem lies. A new MC must be bled before the lines to each wheel.
  20. :agree: Check for vacuum leaks also going to the map.
  21. His name is Big Red. Don't forget it.
  22. 952 MJs made in 1992? Is that figure correct?
  23. Milk drinkers shave their chest. Don't do it.
  24.
  25. I don't know how submariners do it. Think I would've gone nuts on a sub, no windows, hot bunking, constant threat of depressurization, plus under the waves, the cold war never really ended. Too stressful, I'll take the infantry.
