You shouldn't, but if they're not seperated by a solenoid/relay of some sort if one battery fails, the voltage will even out between them. If they're both good at 12v you'll get double the amps.

Also, my rear D44 has a loose tube. Its leaking gear oil slowly out of the diff plug welds. Not a major leak or breakage but its time for a truss. I should have trussed it long ago. Just got in a T&T rear D44 truss. Its going on this week.

Got a new CB! It also has 240 Ham and all CB channels and is MARScap capable. 100 outgoing watts. :brows: I got commo fever and bought it. But then after researching this radio, I found a couple of forums where lots of trucker CB snobs don't like it, saying a modded Cobra LTD29 can be better. But when I got it, the shop tech did a side by side test with several radios and this was much clearer than a couple of peaked and tuned Cobras. Especially the bluetooth Cobra 29 I was running. Anyway, its all part of my "prepping" plan. Its a lot better than what I had. Eventually I'll turn the truck into a complete commo platform capable of communicating with law enforcement, with UHF, VHF and ready for anything the zombie apocalypse throws at me.

Yeah bluing is what I was referring to. Eventually they all turn rainbow colors. Yours may be an exception but I've never laid eyes on any exhaust coating that has stood the test of time. I'm assuming yours is true stainless, not just coated stainless.

There is no coating that will last on any header or manifold. Forget about it.

The absolute best way to deal with rust is through physical means. That means blasting, sanding, or wire wheeling...or any other means of physical removal. There are plenty of rust treatments out there, but physically removing it with mechanical means will always be better than chemically treating the area, lots of elbow grease is best. If you chemically treat an area then pay close attention to the manufacturers recommendations for coating and be ready for disappointment after you coat the area. No offense but I'm not buying any paint that says it can be coated over rust.....Its like saying you can paint red, white and blue over a democrat....it will simply never stick.
