  1.
  2. Yeah I sprayed it with some B12, didn't notice any change in idle. I had the head rebuilt back in 08', don't think its the manifold gasket. But my header is cracked and leaking so I'm about to tear it down again to fix that. When I do that I'll replace all the hoses for good measure. Also, I haven't done much to the grounds, so that could be it. I'm about to put a dual battery system on it, when I do that I'll completely clean the engine compartment and square away my wiring mess and add some extra grounds too.
  3. Nope, I've never touched it. I'll check it out in the morning.
  4. Roger, I'm at 17%. It seemed to have settled down, no more 3-4K idling. But now its idling at 1200 rpms, still a tad high. One good thing happened though, probably from swapping the sensors, it is running noticeably better.
  5. Yup, tried carb cleaner on all the tubes and hoses. Still idling around 3.5-4k. I've decided to retire for the night and consume some hallucinatory beverages from the New Belgium brewery company and offer a small sacrificial offering to the jeep gods by placing multiple pins in a small voodoo doll of Kim Jun Un.
  6. Cleaned the TB, still idling at 4k.
  7. Just took the TB off...cleaning it like a starving Pakistani now.
  8. Jim, if I can't figure this out tonight the I'll take the TB off and clean it good like you recommended.
  9. Thanks for the input guys. Still under the hood now. I've got the TPS adjusteded according to guru Cruiser's guidelines. Input and output voltage is within 17%. Now my idle is up to 4k! You're right Pete, soapy water probably isn't the best for a sucking vacuum leak. Kinda scratching my head right now.
  10. Glad to have such a patriot on the board. Most guys take every thing that happens personal and blames the service as if its some kinda business corporation. Service in our military requires a great deal of self sacrifice and your service is not lost on me sir. God bless you and your family and I hope you guys have a super merry Christmas!
  11. Still getting a high idle upon start up. I've changed the TPS, MAP, and IAC. I sprayed soapy water trying to find a vacuum leak. I've put my eyeballs a few inches from every vacuum line and still, I'm getting a high idle upon start up. It's around 2.8-3k. Really annoying. It stopped for about a week and ran fine, now it's doing it again. Any ideas? Thanks, Jay
  12. I like Asus computers, I've got an Asus G73JH...its got 6 gigs. Kinda quirky but real fast. I wanted an Alienware but my wallet was too thin.
  13. Aw man, I used to have an American Pointer named Sport that looked just like that....crap, now I'm sad.
  14. I'm kinda indifferent, I don't like or dislike facebook. I use it because its what the local Jeep club uses, and its quite handy. But its weird that even though I set the privacy settings as tight as I can, it still sends me friend recommendations half of whom happen to be or associated with my ex's. People I haven't contacted in a long time. I figure, somehow its reading my email addresses in my yahoo account and is pulling them in. Either that or its all on their end and is reading that they sent me emails, so I end up getting the recommendations anyway. I haven't cleared firefox's history and cache in a while, maybe that's where its getting the info. Besides for CC and a few other Jeep sites, I try to retain my digital anonymity. Maybe its just my slightly reclusive tendencies that makes it a little creepy for me.
  15. Good job brother, although it was over 15 years ago when I gave a silver dollar to an enlisted man for my first salute, I wish I could salute you and give you a nice piece of silver now.
  16. I once made a facebook page for one reason alone, to get the phone number of an old friend. Then I deleted the page. Since then, I started another one using one of my several Jeep web monikers to get updates from our local Jeep club. That is the only reason I'm on it. My friends are few and far between but they are all very real...I don't need or want 1000's of internet facebook "friends". Now I get constant friend recommendations from former ex's and acquaintances that I don't communicate with at all. Nor do I want to.... Its kinda creepy. I'm becoming more paranoid about my online privacy. Now, I don't trust anything associated with google and facebook anymore. Does anyone else get a "someone is looking over my shoulder right now" feeling.
  17. My brother, a can of black rustoleum is waiting on the shelf begging you to be faithful. Its like a stripper, not that good looking in the sunlight but everyone will still be jealous afterward.
  18. Take your time and find a rust free MJ. The one you had in mind was very clean. You don't need a clean truck if you do the engine and interior conversions. A $500 clunker from Colorado or down south would be a better candidate. It doesn't need to run or look good and why fight rust issues on top of all the other work you've got planned?
  19. And hot bunking, don't forget about the hot bunking!!!!!
  20. Well, that's gotta be better than keeping sheep on board.
  21. Personally I think that was one damn fine MJ and whoever owns it is a lucky guy. As far as the flex goes, big whoop really. It'll flex good enough. Lockers, tires, armor and safety items are more important anyway. You can spend all night watching videos of super flexing rigs bouncing and rolling over far too easily at Moab. Too much flex in my mind equals loss of control waiting to happen, especially off camber. On mounting the track bar, you really can't mount it anywhere else. Go forward and your getting into the steering linkage, go to the back of the axle and you're putting the frame side bracket into the coil and the shock, then you've got the bar flexing into the UCAs, exhaust down pipe and oil pan. The stock location is good, the stock bracket and tie rod end not so much.
  22. I don't have much to add to this thread except a bit of philosophy. All a man needs is: a woman who knows how to cook, a woman who is good with kids, a woman who keeps a clean house, a woman who is good in bed, Most important thing to remember is that none of these women know about the others.
  23. They made one of JP's dumbest offroad mods. They can flip backwards when unloaded, if there was some way to prevent them from going inverted that would probably work. Sliders would be safer and more stable.
  24. I liked the cage, nice design aesthetically speaking.
