  1. ummm???
  2. i used a bronzed bushing as had small tip ax15 and big hole 4.0. worked great after 5 years i had to replace it as it did wear funny. but maintenence free and reliable and thats what we are all after.
  3. looks good and broke in. clean it up fresh seals and run it. add a little grease to the needle bearing one. when it warms back up next week ill be where you are currently. so appreciate you sharing whats ahead of me, again.

    Spanish?

google translate helps those that do not.
  6. keep that up. you'll learn soon enough you start mixing new with old your going to end up replacing on the old with new as the old gives out faster as you install new parts. like they get jealous or something.
  7. yep replace if got deep pockets like 89MJ.
  8. agreed. like the darkness with the tops under sunlight.
  9. your flex plate can be machined though at local shop. a few bucks but if its smooth, run it.
  10. id spray it down and run it myself. but if you dd it an its a reliability goal, install new now and enjoy longer
  11. what your looking for are bent fingers on the pressure plate, and the clutch disk is like brake pads, want clean and not gummed up with oil or shout. also would like to see good grooves on the disc itself. kinda like slotted rotors as this aides in the stopping and holding power. they are affordable enough to justify installing new while tore down this far. we all been there the first time. you doing good. keep up the good work and youll enjoy soon enough.
  12. how was the clutch before? how was the pedal? they are same clutch plate setup. peace of mind to install new. little grease in pilot bearing and slap it back in with ax15 and run it. worse thing to happen is have to replace it and since you've did it once it will be easier the second time. a breeze after the 5th time. other wise install full kit, fresh bearing and seals and good lube job. next.
  13. i so lost my jbl speaker out the cab as i near missed a knuckle head in front of me failing to utilize the left turn lane. guy followed me for 10 miles and gave it back to me at the stop sign on the exit. and told me of the dummy in front of me they caused our swift maneuvering. His wife and kids also with him all complimented the jeep and wanted to ensure i got my speaker back. very nice of them. hit took a hit and sound quality has gone down.
  14. so just go buy a reman box for maybe $100 at auto parts store. carry on
  15. i use to have grills but they have been kicked once or twice.
  16. a few pics of hinge cut and where the failure ends up.
  17. not just summer but anytime is a great time to go doorless. easy mod, just cutting the hinge to allow you to lift door off and on. not recommended if care about gaps and what not. doors are heavy and will sag in time and will cause issues with latches and door closures. i plan to swap them out again and start over. be my third set of doors on the mj. still worth it to me. manual doors are ideal for the mod as less wire connections. unless want to wire in a contact switch which would allow power doors. i just moved door speakers to kick panel and cut out my own speaker mounting location.
  18. I wanna day started from a yahoo group chat or something. @Pete M be chiming in at somepoint he may remember.
  19. looking good. still dig the makeup. 3 most common oil leaks are valve cover, oil pan, and oil filter adapter housing (big o ring. )
  20. burrriffic. !! enjoy good sir. enjoyed the shots, no need to be there to see now.
  21. went at it the right way. looks great. you have done well and i look forward to the progress.
