If your going to get that MJ. Get yourself a manual,haynes/chilton, then start with one issue at a time. It'll be a great bonding experience.
I'm the same way, always carry more tools then i really need but glad i do when i need them. Over the years ive learned what i really need to keep on hand. Have basically just keep basics and then add specific tools 🔧 for certain repairs when i plan to go out to play.
Yeah burn it out but carefully. Heat rising from it...use a hammer and chisel punch to get the sleeve rest of the way. Rebuild able flex joint be best to replace it if could. Looking good though. Good toolset will be your friend for life.
