  1. My set up was under $20 with free kn filter from pick and pull. not pretty and fancy by no means, its just stupid simple redneck enginuity. It works well as it whistles down the road and i do get water over my hood and yet to have issues. Regardless as what she said, 3" is plenty big enough.
  2. All nuts and bolts. One step at a time and you'll fall in love all over again 💕
  3. I sent one away for free cause I can't read.
  4. Put pads in wrong?
  5. Did you pull the cover by chance to ensure all is well there.
  6. Recheck what you did. Balljoints sometimes make contact with axle shaft ujoint. Double check what you did.
  7. Great start. From the floors up.
  8. So ill post up my less then $50 sound system. Took me 3 years to assemble but I'm pleased with outcome. I was the kid in school that had a loud system in my ride, but always had the Cheapest setup. I don't believe in paying lots of money for systems in a jeep that can use that money elsewhere 🤔. But I still like the boom boom that mellows out the b*@ch. I may be getting old and losing my hearing with all that load 😈 music that gram gram told me about 😒 or just riding with no doors and a snorkel by my head makes it hard to rock out. So to create a system on a budget but is loud. So as I go about my life I have been fortunate enough to come across components for the system. Like full set of amp wires out of a xj at a pick and pull. I cleaned out some rental properties and found the amp, hooked it up and it works. 😎 found both 8" subs on clearance at local auto store for $20 each. Only thing i paid for aside from lunch and pick and pull entry fee,, wires were free. The head unit i got given to me from a buddy as a token of appreciation as I help him with home repairs and maintenance. The sub boxes I acquired a year or so after the speaker purchase. Those also were someone's junk that I pulled old speakers out for fridge 🧲. Boxes were ported with tweeters. Sweetness. Other then installing fresh wires with soldering they boom boom. So like anything you can have nice stuff and you can pay for just that... but when you been poor all your life you understand the importance of that dollar amount when talking jeep. I rather put more under the jeep then making it a boom box. So if your patience and check around you can have Decent radio setup and here's just one example. At least my amp matches my head unit. 😆
  9. Is there a switch built into the visors themselves? Could I run my own power wire to it and the visior be like a toggle switch?
  10. Love the tube doors. Great on the jk. Simply make some hinges for them to work on the mj, just haven't yet. I like no doors but looks better and feels more secure with the doors.
  11. Yeah well I found a little needle bearing what I found to be from my axle spindle bearing. So diff is in with shafts but awaiting parts doing all new bearing and seals as well.
  12. Very nice in deed. Great project addition.
  13. Yeah me. And 81 was my last bid. 👎 100 bucks. 👌
  14. I still want it 😫 quit bidding
  15. sweet deal. Any pics of the inside opened up?
  16. totally legit.
  17. i have been putting off the basic run down maintenance of the jeep. Like topping off fluids after checking it to be empty. oops. also cleaning up and fixing lights and wiring issues. nice to finally have had a few days to just work on the wiring and ensure its all neat and mud proof. Also goiing to take my time and wrap my headers and see about knocking some of that heat down in the engine bay. heat soak is a mother.
  18. Having a blast indeed good sir. Thank you for the stickers and cards. I just passed out my last magnet card to MJ on last jeep run. The poster is cool as hell and Ill be framing it up for the cave. I finally got some shut eye last night as I had been up the last 2 days working constantly on getting the jeep ready, for what IDW.. to just be ready to go and play man. $#!&, leds are fun to wire, resistors and flashers oh my. Its fun though been a long time since I could just zone out on the rig and not have to think about anything else nor get detracted from the project. Almost have it figured, perhaps one more trip to parts store. can't help but want to steal the JK doors for my MJ.
  19. Well after being out on the trail again thought Id get back to it and get some maintenance taken care of on the rig to ensure reliability while in the woods on hot days. So at turtle speed I installed new aluminum radiator from Jegs.com. and installing a new 10" pusher fan as well to go with the oem AUX fan I currently run on a toggle switch. Pusher fan willl be wired in with a 185* switch and will also have a kill switch for the water holes. Also thinking I may had another battery on the drivers side as well. need to figure now on running all leds and why they rear lights flash.... Also I had picked up some tube doors for the JK and found that whey will also work on the MJ if I make a set of hinges up for it to fit my door pin hole and to make up the 1" differences in door latch to hinge. And since I was in there I decided to clean the engine bay up a bit as well as replace my milk jug for a real coolant reservoir. Happy with how it is coming together. I still get funny when people tell me how cool my truck is as I still feel like when I first got it and was excited to add a 3" aal lift and 31s.
  20. I often have to check back on stuff i did to the MJ over the years. I usually end up on this page checking my wire connections again.
  21. some mods but worth it to buy it. so buy it an then get details on how to install.
