the gas would be going into a minivan. :D I love my van dearly, but it'd be a stretch to call the driving "fun". battery is charged up and ready to go. starting to get dark outside... so far I gotta say a flashlight with selectable output levels is kinda nice. and it comes with a diffuser cap to turn it into a lantern too.

    New Flashlight

after much research and deliberation, I've finally spent my christmas money. Grandma said she wanted me to spend it on something fun rather than gasoline or food, so I got this: gotta love an LED light that has a warning on it: still waiting anxiously for night to fall...

I think it's looking for a space in front and behind the text. a glitch when we converted to the new software. and of course, if you put a space in front of and behind it, the software removes those spaces when it posts. I bracketed the spaces with periods to make it show up. I'll see if I can fix it.

  10. in theory they should be waiting for me when I get back in town next week.
  11. the problem is that I am not a business. I get decals and such made up simply because the guys want something to show pride in their club and I'm happy to oblige. I'm not making money on these endeavors, nor am I looking to expand into doing so. Getting the bigger items made and shipped out is a real pain in the butt (as attested to by the fact that the shirt/hoodie orders have been handled by several members so far and each one eventually calls it quits).

  13. stock axles? :dunno: for that much dough I'd expect some upgrades to handle those tires.
  14. another vote for B, except with a gas engine in that tow rig. as fun as diesels are, if it's only for occasional use, a big gas engine works great and parts for it tend to be cheaper and more plentiful in random auto stores or junkyards you may find on your journeys. and as for insurance, I own 5 running vehicles, only one of which is insured for driving at any one time. it's cheap to insure the others for "storage". oil changes, tires, etc will all be cheaper for your DD and then you fire up the hauler once in a while for towing purposes.
  15. :rotf: thanks jim, I needed that. :D
  16. get your 2wd rear shaft shortened. should be under 100 bucks.
  17. a slightly easier way is to pull off the CAD cover, slide the collar over, and then re-install the CAD cover upside down. does the same job. Should take you 5 minutes.
  18. and try car-part.com to see if any nearby junkyards in their system have one listed.
  19. the only downside to locking the front is you might find out that the front driveshaft needs maintenance (which you should be doing anyway so it's not that big of a deal), i.e. a bad u-joint can cause vibrations at speed.
