  1. she's mine all mine. :D can moving the steering via the knuckle somehow not rotate the steering wheel? I mean, it's rack and pinion and all, but they are still connected. right?
  2. 97 with 220k. donors still had the stickers on the strut body so very few miles on them.
  3. 4 leafs total: 3 regular and one overload. 5 total: 3 regular and 2 overloads somewhere there are photos of both kinds.
  4. here ya go. from when 'sticks' was on solo tour. he had some dancers.
  5. seriously?! new struts, new brakes, new sway bar links (technically they are all used, but in good shape), now my steering wheels is canted to the left a bit. wtf. far as I can tell the van tracks straight and I don't hear any weird tire scrubbing noises. The van that donated its struts didn't have any front end damage either. thoughts?
  6. see? it won't be all bad when skynet takes over... :D http://compressorheadband.com/

  8. as Correy mentioned, I replaced them with grade 8 studs. that way they can be used to help align the trans for re-installation. worked great!
  9. a malfunctioning CAD is by FAR the most likely culprit. just bypass and fix it for good. other possibilities involve broken parts (snapped shaft, etc). :(
  10. the brake lights and turn signals are the same filaments.

    Well Hi

one in the front, one in the bed. :D
  12. in 91 they changed the front end around. correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the grille of a 91 is integral with the small bit of trim right above it. 90 and earlier they are separate. will make for a weird gap if you try the late model XJ grille.

    Well Hi

I'll move this over to the pub for ya. welcome to the club! :waving:
  14. what brand lift? there are numerous ways to lift an XJ, some good, some downright dangerous. fwiw, there's no way I'd buy someone else's 7" lifted XJ if I was looking for a daily driver. I'd much rather get a bone-stock grandma's grocery getter.
  15. to post pictures, you need to first click the image button above the text box. It's a little greenish square. then you can paste the address in the pop-up box and it'll show up in the thread.
  16. It's got a whole bed back there...
  17. if you click the little greenish square above the text box that says "image", you can then paste the address of the picture in the pop up window and the image will appear.
  18. forgot to include that mine were components. this is where I installed the direct-able (meaning I could point it p towards my head a bit) tweeter:
  19. are you talking about the entire front fascia (headlights, trim, etc)? or just the grille itself? also, what year is your truck?
  20. I am equally baffled. :dunno:
  21. (It's greek for "616")
