  1. holy cow... how far is the reach with that thing? :clapping:
  2. found it yes, I know I could have done the button hole better.
  3. I don't seem to have much in the way of photos, but here you can see the mirrors and the door. the doors came from another powerwheels jeep I picked up complete for 10 bucks (stripped it for spare parts). the doors don't quite go right in, but aren't too hard to mod. I also bought the sound box from a powerwheels harley motorcycle and fitted it behind the dash with the buttons exposed. I swear I have a pic of that somewhere...
  4. you're all just jealous of Rob's level of addiction. :D some of my goodies: US dealership poster Venezuela dealership poster: dealership hats: couple o' pins my favorite MJ thing so far:
  5. check it out. :D right about the middle of the page.
  6. he hasn't seen it yet. :( didn't get enough time to finish it. I'm going back down to GA for christmas and he'll get it then.
  7. can't see that last one don :( nice one ben :D
  8. because people want them. in a way that frequently defies logic. :dunno:
  9. Comanche Club Image Hosting, facebook.com or any number of other sites out there will host things for free.
  10. 242 adds AWD ability to the mix (aka, driving on dry concrete, without blowing things up). found in any 87+ XJ that was ordered with it. look in the cab for an extra choice of "full-time" on the t-case shifter.
  11. for a conversion you need: AX-15 trans (94.5+ are external), 231 t-case (96+ are sealed rear output), front driveshaft (anything 87+) 4wd shifting linkage (any year), front axle (95+ are big-U-joint plus older ones if they have ABS ). if you buy a whole AX-15 XJ, you'll be buying 3.07 gears. :( also, now's the time to contemplate if the 242 t-case would be a better choice.
  12. what will you be doing about gearing?
  13. the Dana 35 is a rear axle. Dana 30 is the front. what size tires are you looking to run in the end?
  14. :rotf:
  15. if you can PM me a guess of your username or even the email you used, I bet I can find you.
  16. did you ever find them? I don't see them... :dunno:
  17. not usually. the big reason the add bumpstop extensions is if contact is occurring. i.e. if the shocks are bottoming out or if the tires are hitting the fenders.
  18. always, always, always wear safety glasses. or in Jim's case, a full on redman suit.

the inherent limitations of the search function can make things difficult for sure. then add to that the plethora of ways to describe some items (transmission, trans, tranny, manual, stickshift, AX-15, etc) and you'll understand why I encourage people to simply ask their questions.
