  1. emails are apparently going out just fine. I'll look into it more in the morning.
  2. I don't think it's long enough.
  3. can't confirm the precise t-case you're looking at, but I can confirm that any year of 4banger will have the 21 spline input t-case.
  4. huh. I'll forward that on to our tech guru. maybe the emails aren't going out.
  5. http://upholsterysuperteam.com/ link saved for future use
  6. yeah... I might stay in michigan a couple extra days and then drive down for cleanup once it's rolled on through. if you're on the coast, run for the hills!
  7. by 2k the horsepower has started to drop off. an oil change brings them back. the oil that comes out is black. like, diesel levels of black. I know it's tired... and I have an newer block to replace it... but I'm kinda curious how long it'll go.
  8. double check and clean all your connections. if you can't even turn on the headlights, that's gotta be a clue.
  9. what's the condition of the cables? My truck was notorious for corrosion creeping in between the cables and battery posts.
  10. you should add your truck's details into your signature. that would help us with figuring out what you need to look for. wrangler transmissions clock the t-case up higher. the t-case itself is the same as an XJ/MJ (in relation to the mounting hole location)
  11. nah, I let someone else have that one. I've had my dealership hat for a few years now.
  12. love it
  13. try this link: https://comancheclub.com/notifications/options/
  14. screw it all. I'm not dealing with diesel fuel lines in the dark. tomorrow is another day!
  15. I'm guessing it's the vent. either way I'm ignoring it for now. just got back from the store and I think I now have everything to do this. we shall see... oh shoot. forgot the gear oil. whatever. I'll top that off later.
  16. so which line does what as I'm looking at the frame below the rear seats? I ask because the second one from the top has a large rust flaw in it. Is that the fuel feed? fuel return?
  17. just something neat I found today.
  18. the paypal ID for the CC account is: comancheclub@hotmail.com if you need an address for snail mail I can send you that.
  19. the bills aren't annual anymore, it's now monthly. but god knows you won't find my asking for money every 30 days. I'd rather just pay it myself than ask for spare change over and over again. but now that I think of it, I should probably get a donation link on the front page somewhere so guys can throw a buck or 2 at it whenever they feel like it.
  20. I like them. you can always hit them with paint if they are too shiny.
  21. dodge, chevy, and ford trucks probably all have longer rear lines with the same fittings.
  22. years ago I ran full syn until it became obvious I needed to change the oil every 2k and then it got cheap-as-it-gets oil. and I can feel the difference when the new oil goes in, even after just 2k . every other ride in my family gets full syn.
  23. the pullaparts are full of libertys just waiting to give you their 8.25. even car-part.com should be able to find you one for a lot less than 400. don't shy away from deeper gearing just for the sake of the freeway. my Dakota came from the factory with 3.92s and 27 or 28" tires and a big honkin' thirsty v8. wouldn't trade that ratio for anything.
  24. I prepared to the nth degree when I drove out to Moab and back and the only real trouble I had was the dang water pump that wasn't even that old. bearings ate themselves. Prep the truck, but also prepare as if you were expecting to camp inside the truck for a couple days in the cold. and have those items in the cab next to you.
  25. how did you put it there initially?
