  1. the guy I bought my stove pipe from had a new tractor about that big and only 2 acres. I like my little garden tractor, but I was deeply envious.
  2. alright, so I'm back in and it appears that the sign-in thing is what has changed. we now have to use our emails instead of our screen names for security reasons. spread the word!
  3. edit: several members are having problems signing in (including me). if it happens, try signing in using your email rather than your screen name. that has worked for most everyone so far. worst case scenario, you can always get a hold of me at ComancheClub@hotmail.com
  4. most anything can be adapted in as long as it didn't come from like a full size truck or something. frequently just needs some 1x1 square tube and bolts. bonus points if you get some from a 2dr car so they still fold forward to allow access behind the seat. power seats can be a real challenge because it's a tight fit down there.
  5. if the ad is accurate, it's an 89 and so not an original SC. best guess is that the glovebox door was taken from an SC. good eye potting that!
  6. I certainly hope that competing products get better with time. POR came out long enough ago that I read about it in magazines. it is crazy sensitive to application. far more so than the newer stuff.
  7. yup, they are most certainly good enough for a wheeler.
  8. paint exists in the world.
  9. I glued 1" thick foam directly to the steel and then covered it with speakerbox carpet. it works pretty good. doing it in chunks made it a lot easier to manage. especially around the sunroofs.
  10. making logical year to year sense just isn't in Jeep's nature
  11. almost. AX-15s are all 23 spline. but all AX-5s are 21 spline, so you can look for later years of XJ.
  12. don't forget that the 21 spline 242 is very rare (87-90 XJs with selectrac), but still out there to be found.

  14. you'll want a 21 spline, so anything found behind an 87+ 2.5L, a Peugeot, or an 87-90 AW4.
  15. not sure when the last time I saw a step product made for an MJ that wasn't an all-out rocker guard.
  16. score indeed!
  17. as a former Dak owner I can attest to them being some of the best seats out there. the rest of the truck is pretty awesome too!

    AI renderings

guess I'd need a 6x6 to move that thing.
  19. one of the best upgrades for the old Jeeps
  20. don't forget about gearing. depending on your commute, giant tires can be a real drain on gas.
  21. nothing says "I live in florida" like pics of you painting outside in January. looks good!
  22. overkill. 2" pucks and a longer shackles and you're essentially done. plus you're so little into the investment that you can change your mind later.
  23. gotta define "offroading". that most definitely means different things to different people. for me, a 2" lift, 31s, and a rear locker would take me most anywhere I want to go. then I'd spend money on rocker guards and bumpers. 32s are only 1/2" more ground clearance over 31s but bring more headaches.
  24. what are your goals for the truck? tire size?
  25. keep fantasizing. 7k ain't going to happen with stock-ish lifters. they start floating and are more or less a factory rev limiter.
