  1. good point. what is their particular achilles heal?
  2. members will only show up there if they listed both their town and state. Just the town would confuse the program and just the state would likely drop it in the middle of the state. I don't appear anywhere because it doesn't know what to do with "detroit or atlanta"
  3. is used an option or are you focused on rebuilds? I'd wager car-part.com shows some.
  4. alright, which one of you guys has been hitting the pipe a bit too much lately. https://www.ebay.com/itm/86-92-Jeep-Comanche-MJ-Factory-Dana-44-Rear-Axle-Assembly-Differential-3-55/123595080997?hash=item1cc6d74525:g:-g0AAOSwLgpcPTP-:rk:6:pf:0
  5. 4.5 is better for keeping the tires out of the fenders. what do you have now?
  6. they are getting harder to find in pullapart junkyards when to a couple big yards today and saw all of 2 XJs.
  7. have you jacked up the tires and checked the balljoints and bearings for slop? they should be nice and tight. out of curiosity, what's your caster set to?

  9. good color what's the first mod going to be?
  10. should be plenty for 35s.
  11. love it! that is one tiny fuel cell though. or maybe it just looks that way.
  12. tech Qs should really go in the tech forum so more eyes will see it. also, why does that green w/stripe wire no longer going into the connector?
  13. there are several options in the link in my sig
  14. welcome to the club! but we need way more info. stick? auto? year? do you have the transfer case?
  15. wow! that was one crusty connector! Jeep really screwed up putting so much ampage through that switch. 'tis a project we all should do plus I would add in the relay mod and then live worry free
  16. 97_+ is real close. takes a bit of trimming and the mounting is a bit off. but it's been done before and it comes with cupholders! check the DIY link in my sig. there should be a thread on it.
  17. can members add "tags" to other people's thread titles or only your own?
  18. moving over to the Epic Tech forum.
  19. terribly sorry, I was typing faster than my brain and so mushed some thoughts together. the windshields are essentially just glued in place so yes, if you get a new one, they will reglue it. (check for rust while it's out!) the late model XJs used a 1 piece rubber moulding gasket trim thing that replaces all the metal trim. it is a good upgrade and will help keep water out, but yes, the glue is the important part that seals things.
  20. you should definitely not listen to me and you should definitely try and give it every chance of being reusable, but... I don't even pretend anymore. the studs are made of some weak crappy metal and I've had them snap on rust free trucks. and so I've found the 20v 1/4" impact gun makes quick work of snapping off the studs.
  21. If you jack up one front tire and spin it, what happens? If it doesn't spin, jack up the other front tire and try again. then what happens?
  22. were you in 4wd? when was the last time you were in 4wd?
  23. is your truck at stock height?
