  1. where abouts are you? there is a 90k mile '89 4.0 in a pullapart near Atlanta.
  2. "going to die soon"? could you elaborate? on the topic of axles, the 5.2 isn't all that different in power numbers than the 4.0 so stockish axles will do fine.
  3. they've become quite popular. 12 bucks and a few minutes of your time can prevent a fire and improve your headlight output. there's a link to an example in my signature.
  4. Only the later ones. Early renegades (the ones that typically had the quad-light pod on the roof) had the regular hood. I've been half-heartedly been looking for years now and suddenly found 2 on the same day in neighboring pullaparts. (though one of them had been in a rollover and so all the cool parts were ruined.)
  5. random pic from the internet. I don't remember if it said the year.

    Florida bound

google "junkyards" and see what comes up along your route
  7. you're going to be thrilled once all those updated parts are in play. I recently discovered that my '00 Dakota has the metric-3/16"-bubble flare thing going on. I wussed out and got pre-made lines.
  8. looks like a solid truck! welcome to the club! be sure to pull up the carpet and to get yourself the headlight relay harness.
  9. you speak the truth. I looked up a video and sure enough, the holes have no adjustability whatsoever. that sucks, but good to know.
  10. yeah, I thought that about MJs too... until Don should me that there are caster adjusting shims in the body side lower control arm mounts.
  11. I fixed the spelling. yup. 2 front outputs and one rear output.
  12. think of it this way, if you rotated the axle 180* til it was entirely upside down, the camber would be the opposite (positive 1.6*) that it is now (-1.6*). so any rotation (i.e. the change in caster angle) short of that will change it slightly. did they adjust anything or just check the alignment?
  13. indeed! good to see ya!
  14. I see your caster is off. does the camber change a bit as the axle rotates?
  15. be sure to start your truck a build thread and to add a few details to your signature. welcome to the club!
  16. I've never heard anything but glowing reviews for Bilstein shocks.
  17. every time I crack open the paperbacks I'm reminded of 15-20 years ago when I would type out huuuuuge sections of it to try and help MJ owners with their problems. the internet just wasn't the same back then. now I can just copy/paste a youtube link or the DIY master list.

    Is it just me..

gotcha. I didn't look beyond the thumbnail and that super steep hoodline. the trapezoidal flares are definitely a Jeep hallmark.
