  1. that would be nice, but I already own the sockets. can't afford to start from scratch.
  2. I'm open to whatever. Need something that can be thrown into the tool bag and not lose the sockets, but also allows me to remove one without a lot of swearing. I currently have a combination of store packaging, harbor freight, and a (I think) older Kobalt design.
  3. that's a lot of money for rotted floors. also, I finally see a pic of the dash tag and it is... different.
  4. what? In Michigan I just tell them what I paid for it. what is going on here?
  5. the lift and the conversion can be done independently of each other. A reason for doing them separately would be spreading out the cost. A reason for doing them together would be duplication of work. You'll need to undo a lot of the same nuts/bolts for both projects.
  6. I have 3 different version of socket holders and I hate them all. Has anyone found a brand that they like?

probably won't work the way you think unfortunately. this debate comes up every time a city in south/east Michigan feels like the deer population needs to be culled because the accidents are sky high. There will always be a part of the population that feels hunting the deer is bad and they tend to be very vocal. They don't seem to be oblivious to the accidents, they just seem to blame the humans for them.
  8. and that's why I sold my beloved Dakota to get my new MJ. She's not perfect, mind you, but that wear and tear dropped her down to my price range (as well as lets me rest easy after a few minor mods like the headrest). I would not have been able to afford a truck like her that was garage kept the whole time. well, we're getting into the nitty-gritty here and I'd say it depends on the industry definitions of the words. Does the owner have the paperwork on those mods?

    Beer

I think so. There are so many beers coming out that it's hard to keep track of everything these days.

    Beer

Bells Oberon is my declared favorite, but I like most anything as long as it doesn't taste like coffee (which is weird because I can drink coffee) or is one of the more extreme versions of things (like a super sour or super hoppy beer).
  11. the big questions remain: Where are they finding these things, and why is the price cheaper than a used tail light?

that is a fascinating website! you can click on each type of event, then the specific events and get some basic data on each event. though I don't see a spot for whether the shooter was legally armed or not.
  13. a thing's value could certainly be monetary, but in this case for me it isn't. Makes me smile every time I see my new baby. Sorta makes me feel like a big time collector who located a barn find of his dream car. Sure it's worth some money, but that's secondary to finding that little piece of history, a snap shot of how things were back in the day (except I'm adding headrests to my bench). And I enjoying the hunt for old school aftermarket parts (though I wish I had started the hunt a decade ago). It's a hobby, just like any other. The goals are personal and differ between owners. These are mine. Caring about the money implies I would sell it later on and I don't intend to. But I do care about it's originality (to a point) because that alone makes me smile.
  14. that's an impressive amount of projection
  15. still free to try.
  16. I have one of each (stock and modded) and they both float my boat in their own special way. add to that the dreamer truck. The empty shell behind the barn that could be anything and allows me to dream up whatever I want. drag truck? turbo diesel? 1 tons and 40s? Eliminator clone? anything is possible because it's a blank slate.
  17. but it's free to try! also, my XL arrived today and it's... rather large. But the sleeves are juuust long enough so it's what I'll be wearing.

wild hogs. definitely need a magazine for them. maybe belt fed if you can get one. has everyone said their fill? I'd prefer this to not get circular or repetitive.
  19. that brings up the manual transmission vs automatic discussion. only you can answer to what you would prefer to drive. The AX-15 is the upgrade to the older Peugeot (ba-10/5) manual trans. If you have an auto, that'd be the AW-4 and it's a fine transmission as-is.
  20. everything depends on your goals for your truck. Others will have differing opinions but yours matters the most. What do you want to do with your truck? Where do you see it in 5 years? 10 years? It personally terrifies me to daily drive something that I want to hang on to for the rest of my life. crap happens on the roads. in the last month we saw a couple super DUPER nice MJs taken out by plain ol' traffic accidents.
  21. I do believe that amazon has free returns if you'd like to try the 2x.
