    Birthday present

I was thinking this was for the Comanche's birthday.
  2. have you checked for power at the pump? have you supplied 12v straight to the pump to verify that it does indeed function?
  3. is there any damage to that rocker?
  4. careful what you wish for. I don't have those things either. due to my illness, time is the only thing I do have, so I try to make the most of the energy I can muster. the money is part borrowed and part leftover from selling my beloved Dakota. Storage is under an awning I built behind the barn at my folks' place (with the more fragile things inside the barn). I'll be heading north to Michigan in a few weeks and hopefully selling some rust free parts to help pay down my debt.
  5. Saw your post on fb and so while I was at the junkyard saturday I picked up a trans cooler for my Libby.
  6. I appreciate a place that's willing to put the extra effort in to earn my money.
  7. can anyone confirm if the rear XJ handles are the same as the fronts? I swear I remember reading that somewhere...

    Yanked?

  9. do you have enough plastic line on the new part to reach the metal of the old stuff?
  10. not sure what all line you have to work with, but I adapted my TJ line to my MJ line with a compression fitting.
  11. blows my mind that a thing like that is even possible. why do they share a wall again?
  12. be sure to copy/paste all that drool-worthy goodness into a build thread.

I like to have options at the junkyard. and I can combine them with the 3/8" stuff if I need to get at a CPS.
  14. you should probably post that up as its own thread in Tech so more eyes will see it.
  15. I know the v6 had a 4wd option, but was it an AX-15? I was thinking it was a nv3500 or something along those lines.

lucky for you I have my junkyard socket case sitting right next to me. this is about what I used to get at the ecu screws without taking apart the lower dash. also wanted to show off my Pelican case. very compact and carries only the bits I want in the junkyard. I have a second that carries torx and other oddities. as a bonus it makes a little tray every time you open it up! the only bummer is that, while the case itself is super tough and waterproof, the latch doesn't usually stay closed if you drop it while full of sockets.

do the varied combinations of 10 different extensions and wobbly bits I combine together to get at bolts in an engine bay because I'm too lazy to use a ratchet instead of my impact driver count?
  18. watching someone break down a song into its individual components is just fascinating to me.
  19. what the... ?
  20. what made the difference?
  21. far as I know, the ax-15 was only 2wd in 4banger Dakotas. were they a 4wd option in v6 dakotas?
  22. 45% off this weekend so I went on back and found that the MJ, which was yanked from the yard waaaaay back when and returned just for me, was still there. So I got to work on the things I didn't have time for last trip and pulled the leafs, flywheel, spare tire winch, computer, and a couple other little things.
  23. just go buy another that's not as nice and mod the crap outta it.
  24. you MUST confirm that the distributor is installed properly. can't have fire without spark, fuel, air and timing.
