  1. you should bug Brandon too.
  2. early 86s will need the firewall mods. late ones won't because they received the firewall for the upcoming 4.0. we don't yet know the official cutoff though.

very true. it's important to ask as you walk in so you can better formulate a plan once you find the Jeeps. One of the yards on my trip out west didn't allow either. very curious.
  4. they were stainless steel and thicker than the stock metal. the pics are somewhere in the CC archives if you're inclined to have a go with the search engine. but I don't remember who it was that got them made.
  5. not a super great price, but not horrible either. make sure it's got the calipers on it! I remember they had a crazy core charge.
  6. that's a very nice topper!
  7. I think you should pull the relay and check for constant power. someone back me up on this, but I think if you jumper 30 to 87 then the fuel pump should get power. 30 is always hot and 87 goes to the pump. I think.
  8. the where is ok, but when are you checking for power?
  9. yeah, we're all real bummed he stopped. I'm in need of a couple.
  10. people have bought them DOA so it never hurts to check. when are you checking for power? the 12v is only sent for a few seconds after turning the key to run and then while the engine is cranking. if you pull the starter relay so the engine doesn't crank, you can have someone turn the key to start and be sure power is being sent.

    Birthday present

I was thinking this was for the Comanche's birthday.
  15. have you checked for power at the pump? have you supplied 12v straight to the pump to verify that it does indeed function?
  16. is there any damage to that rocker?
  17. careful what you wish for. I don't have those things either. due to my illness, time is the only thing I do have, so I try to make the most of the energy I can muster. the money is part borrowed and part leftover from selling my beloved Dakota. Storage is under an awning I built behind the barn at my folks' place (with the more fragile things inside the barn). I'll be heading north to Michigan in a few weeks and hopefully selling some rust free parts to help pay down my debt.
  18. Saw your post on fb and so while I was at the junkyard saturday I picked up a trans cooler for my Libby.
  19. I appreciate a place that's willing to put the extra effort in to earn my money.
  20. can anyone confirm if the rear XJ handles are the same as the fronts? I swear I remember reading that somewhere...

    Yanked?

  22. do you have enough plastic line on the new part to reach the metal of the old stuff?
  23. not sure what all line you have to work with, but I adapted my TJ line to my MJ line with a compression fitting.
  24. blows my mind that a thing like that is even possible. why do they share a wall again?
