weird. I'm going to call it a clue because that sounds more promising than "oddity"
  2. you should probably post that in the Tech forum so more eyes will see it. and a pic might be handy. be sure to bring the answer back though so it's in the proper thread

is this the US vin number?
  4. good to see ya getting out and enjoying the truck in its natural habitat
  5. moved your post to the Pub welcome! 'tis a fine lookin' Jeep ya got there.
  6. nice! are you insulating at all?
  7. they are easy enough to shape out of flat steel and have a ton of spot welds that I've never bothered to pull them. but that doesn't mean that they aren't easier for other people to remove that have more skills. and I have no idea what the going rate would be since they are so rarely sold. I cut a few inches above the body crease.
  8. 31x10.5 are frequently put onto the 15x7s
  9. most MJ rims are 15x7. one steel rimis 15x6.
  10. that particular rim isn't stock MJ. kinda looks like a 15x8 wrangler Gambler. are you asking about it or about what you have now?
  11. my favorite kind of trip, the junkyarding trip!
  12. I was convinced that Jeep welded those things in place until people outside the rustbelt said they could remove theirs just fine. I still have my doubts.
  13. welcome to the addiction if you haven't seen it yet, this is a great read for new owners:
  14. should be in the link in my signature
  15. is it for keeping ash off some porch furniture?
  16. ahhh, blue tarps. when you want the world to notice you've covered something up. he could at least have used a camo one!
  17. I appreciate the offer. but I've got a pair that are nice-but-need-paint. I'm trying to find a set that are faded and would match the rest of the truck. mine are so sun faded that the plastic has disintegrated on the top. that's a lot of sun!
  18. well, technically the CAD should be bypassed and all that harness should be removed and the starting point should be capped off. that is how is should be.
  19. it's not the rodent you need to worry about, it's the stuff it leaves behind. but it appears rats aren't the primary spreader in the US so you should be fine.
  20. is this the weird little smoked dome I see in the ceiling of some XJs?
  21. far as I know there is no brand for the renix. only custom bored ones (and the guy that was doing it here on CC no longer does). there are a lot of reasons why you should fully convert to the HO stuff. availability of upgrades is big one.
