  1. that was the first attempt trying to make use of what I had on hand. it didn't turn out well. I eventually bought the biggest amp I could shove in there. but I couldn't remember when I installed the sub and I guess I didn't go back quite enough pages looking for it. It's entirely possible I forgot to snap a photo of the new amp installed.
  2. still bein' useful. the red one is eventually going to be my future trailer body since it matches my new '88 right down to the decals.
  3. I can't seem to find the photo of the amp, but rest assured it is nestled in its home where the pass airbag once resided.
  4. don't think I shared a pic of the subwoofer's new home. tucked behind the rear seat. I feel bad for guys that think they can only get bass with a giant dual 12" box eating up all their cargo space. buy quality and feed it all the power it can handle. that's my beloved Solo Baric in there. 8" of furious aggression turning hundreds and hundreds of watts into glorious door thumping. first used in my '88 MJ back in ~'98. then moved to my Dakota, then the minivan, and then stored for the last bunch of years. oh how I have missed you.
  5. any updates?
  6. huh, not sure how I missed this thread, but here's my baby
  7. lookin' good! definitely old school vibes
  8. I guess it's possible that a scratch on the outside caused this, but in my northern experience, what you see on the outside of a bed fender is 100 times worse on the inside because it started on the inside. but the pic is pretty crappy so anything is possible. I would ask for more photos.

you're keeping track of all these, yes?
  10. rust in that location makes me think of only one thing, bed rot inside. still a decent deal for all he's offering.

yeah, a lot of info for the early MJs was lost before it got into Chrysler's computers. but the hope is that if we get enough partials, we might be able to get a complete list of codes one day
  12. I would check for vacuum leaks, especially around the manifolds
  13. I do not! (not yet at least ) I would love it if you could do a writeup for the DIY. hopefully it would inspire others to not give up on their current 'gate.
  14. it's a 3 decade old truck. a lot depends on how it's been treated over the years. and even then, time is a hell of a curse to rubber and pals tics.
  15. got a pair of reds making a nest in the yard. just like a few years back, they choose a tree waaaaaay at the back. but we'll enjoy them with the spotting scope until the foliage fills in.
  16. falling behind on what my little half-a-jeep has been up to
  17. pretty sure the dodge fullsize truck is a 5 on 5.5
  18. thanks! I knew I saw them somewhere.
  19. still good idea to clean all the grounds. :) that one will help keep your brake lights bright.
  20. did you clean up all of the connections at the starter relay?
  21. I do not, but I guess I should probably look into that.
  22. pull out partially and it turns on the side/tail markers. all the way turns on the headlights.
  23. the headlight switch turns power to the headlights on/off, it does not select between hi/lo. if your highs are on, the headlight switch should turn them off. so if you can indeed switch the Highs off, the hi/lo switch seems to work ok. next can you confirm that you are indeed getting 12 volts to the low beam wire of the headlight socket? I'd hate for all of this to be caused by both low filaments being burned out by coincidence.
