a good looking truck but what ever happened to proofreading your ad? honestly, if I ever sell my truck I'm going to ask the ginormous buckage just so I can get gobs of free advertising
  2. is it really a 4spd though rather than a 5spd that's broken inside?
  3. the immune system is such a weird and complicated thing. everyone is a bit different.
  4. what is the 44 front from?
  5. you've got choices for the front axle. you can regear what you've got or try and find a 4.10 XJ dana 30. get the right axle and it'll come with the bigger ujoints. 94-99 I think? or you can source shafts from a late XJ or TJ and get the same joints in your current axle.
  6. @HOTPHOTO389MJ I split your post off into its own thread. but we still need the VIN so we can decode it for you.

I split your post off into its own thread so the guys will see it
  8. not all 30s and 44s are the same. the newer batch under JKs/JLs are wider and have a different bolt pattern. but they've been installed before, so you're not blazing any new trails. we might have a thread in Epic? I know at least one member here has done it. https://comancheclub.com/forum/41-mj-hardcore-tech-epic-journeys-to-greatness/
  9. are you planning on buying a front to match?
  10. I've never paid more than 150 for a junkyard axle. pennies compared to the 5-6 hundred that regearing will cost. plus there's the heartbreak when you later break the 35 and the money is gone. now, a shortcut would be to focus on finding an axle with 4.10 gears and then stick with that ratio. car-part.com might be able to find you one. search for 97-01 XJ 8.25, or 03-04 KJ, or 95-01 Explorer. that's how I settled on 4.10s for my 88. it was a factory option for the old broncos and I found one. at the time my budget was quite restricted and compromises had to be made. it's an ok ratio. get's the job done. but if I was paying for the whole enchilada, it's the same cost to install 4.10s as it is for 4.56 or 4.88 so I'd go with the deeper ratios. you can clean off the extra bracketry yourself with a grinder, and then pay a local to burn on the leaf perches for ya. keep doing research and reading on what others have done. research if free.
  11. life is full of tough decisions.
  12. I'm only a third Scottish. not near enough scots in me for that. but I've noticed that on every single trip to Disney I see at least one dude rocking a kilt.
  13. this photo I saw today
  14. might as well update this thread. both my folks have had all their various shots, and I've now had my first Moderna.
  15. don't do that. the 35 is not worth the money. I would do 4.56.
  16. gotta do whatcha gotta do. looks like he thought it all out though.
  17. didn't Top Gear do that already?
  18. day late, dollar short, but my 88 runs spools front and rear. it is NOT advised. straight line traction is insane. everything else sucks. and I mean everything else.
  19. see, if this was my project I'd be jumping up and down because something went right. now we build on it.
  20. page 70 of the 88 electrical manual
  21. aren't there wiring diagrams in the factory shop manual? the link in my sign should have a link to the 89, which might be close enough to help.
