  1. Watch yerself. He just might do that. :D (P.S. brent, I've got dibs on his order :D ) Does this mean you have them? :brows:
  2. XJ/MJ are a direct swap. TJ/ZJ are a direct swap, but are low pinion (as are 00+ XJs). YJ would need extensive welding. Also, I think the 2.8L v6 only had 5 speeds with it from the factory. But the 4-speed version of the trans is a direct swap, so it's possible that it was replaced at some point in time.
  3. Yeah, number one would be sweet. I didn't need that door anyways, right? :D Now I just need to find a pile of money...
  4. Just trimmed stock fenders in the stock location.
  5. Mircosoft Paint solves all. (though crudely at best) :D And a rushed hack just to show a regular proportion SJ:
  6. Then I must have done it all on purpose. :D
  7. That 8.8 is better than that 8.25. If the 8.25 is '97+, then they are closer to equals in strength. But 4.10 gears are better than 3.55.
  8. longbeds and shortbeds are the same.
  9. Found someone making limos out of them. Not quite what I had in mind. :shake: http://www.buckhornlimousine.com/stretches.html
  10. Saw a fullsize Cherokee yesterday and the gears in my brain started churning about combining the back half with a Grand Waggy. :D I like the fullsize Jeeps, but I want a bit more wheelbase for towing purposes and interior space. and, while I'm dreaming, a diesel engine too.
  11. Some day I hope to put you on the lookout for a rebuild-able 7.3 4x4 Excursion. :D
  12. Been there, done that. You aren't the first and likely won't be the last to make that little blunder. :D
  13. Yup. On a dirt road no less. :shake: I'd still take that risk over the guarantee of pulling the drums off to get the mud out.
  14. Ever cleaned mud out of drums? :D I switched to disks just to never do that again.
  15. You'll need a t-case that matches. Peugeots have a 21 spline output, AX-15s have a 23 spline output. This site should answer at least some of your questions:  http://www.jeeptech.com/convtrans/ax15swap.html
  16. Good luck getting them shipped. :D
  17. Brake cleaner should not have been used. Next time use a throttle body cleaner that is O2 sensor safe.
  18. Yeah, but my disposable income is a LOT less than that. :D
  19. Don't know what changed, but I see them now. By the time I have any decent amount of disposable income all the good stuff will be gone or will be super high mileage. :(
  20. If it were my truck, I'd look for an early (87-90?) 242 and swap in the corresponding shifter handle to do away with the vacuum stuff altogether.
  21. photos no worky. :dunno:
  22. You should be able to use the window cleaner trick, yes. If it doesn't turn out right, just lemme know.
  23. I'm not too familiar with the selec-trac MJs. What switch are you referring too? Is it a switch, or a handle? Got a picture?
  24. I think the early 242s will bolt up. They will have the 21 spline input shaft at least.
  25. Just a photo for anyone reading this that doesn't know where it is. :D
