  1. I think it's the age-old minor impact vs major impact argument. It very hard to protect well against both, and so sacrifices are made one way or the other. :(
  2. I drove my 90 into the garage!!!!! Woot!!! no exhaust, no floor and a wobbly seat make for an interesting driving experience, even if it's just across the street.
  3. 95 XJ dual diaphragm booster on your list yet? :brows:
  4. desert tan camo?

    Comanche Indian

:needpics: You knew that was coming. :D
  6. admittedly I tie my whip down a lot of the time. For a while I also had it sleeved in some vacuum hose. looked cool and was a bit safer. :D there was much less "whip" in the whip.
  7. x2 on triple checking the valve cover. And I'd add ear plugs to the list. nothing like oil dripping in your ear to make you, uh, wish you had listened to me. :D
  8. bah. speedometers are overrated. I use the Tach in my 88. :D
  9. Whatever you do. make sure you have 2 of everything you need and don't be in a hurry to get your truck back on the road. i.e. allow plenty of downtime for this, as plenty can go wrong. I dropped the pan 4 or 5 times for the rms in my 88. :fs1:
  10. bring it by my house. I've got a parking lot at my disposal. :D
  11.
  12. why not just shim it over and be done with it forever? :dunno:
  13. good info. :D I'll move this over to the DIY forum later on.
  14. I believe the HOs have the temp probe in the t-state housing. grab one of those on your next trip.
  15. DW is never a dead horse topic for the guy experiencing it.
  16. custom rollbar and tire carrier made everything a tight squeeze. :D
  17. I like to be different and went with an "SUV" box. :D plus i have some, um, unique circumstances surrounding the space left in my bed. :shake:
  18. Looks GREAT!! Thats one stout looking shock mount!! WELL DONE!! CW Heck yeah! way tougher looking than my tiny C-channel bracket and puny 5/16" bolts. :shake:
  19. for the tire to go straight up, the axle must go straight up. you can measure the space between the bumpstop and the lower cup and that'll tell you how far the tire can go straight up. I think you'll be just fine with the 15x8s and 30s
  20. I think he's referring to using the ebrake instead of putting an auto trans in park, which reduces stress on the parking spur.
  21. There might have been. if there was, all of mine succumbed to rust years ago. :(
  22. doesn't get much easier than this: :D http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... umber=4424 but other guys use a screwdriver. I don't like getting shocked.
  23. being hubcentric means the hub shares the stress of impacts. If the hub doesn't touch the rim, then the lugs are taking the brunt of the force. If this doesn't bother you, then don't worry about it. Or conversely, some rims may not clear the hub. Check before buying.
