there are lots of variables involved like backspacing and trimming, but typically 5 inches or so. Got the gearing/axles to support the bigger meats?

Haspin has a lot of mud. you're going to get stuck. a lot. solid extraction points front and rear should be first on your list. :thumbsup: tow hooks up front and a hitch out back work great.

there's no guarantee of any noticeable improvements. physics isn't as cut and dry as a muffler ad would lead us to believe. :dunno: there might be some, I'm just saying don't spend the money thinking it'll save you money down the road. spend the money cause you want a cool sound outta your truck. :thumbsup: and yes, if you dump right by the cab, you will risk some fumes wafting back into the cab when the truck isn't moving and the window is down. most of the time you probably won't notice anything.

please don't pay to put gears in a Dana 35.

you've got a 242 mated already mated to a manual trans? interesting. well, the good news is that it should be 21 spline since the peugeot is. I'd keep the 242. all-wheel-drive means you can use it on dry pavement without breaking anything. :D the 242 also has a part-time setting, so it's got every choice possible. :thumbsup: part-time: loose surfaces only full-time: any surface

what's the spline count on the inputs?

what arms are they? what rims do you have? easiest way would be to adjust the steering stop with a washer or 2.

any year AX-15 will work. in fact, any trans from a 4.0 will bolt up. and any 231 or 242 t-case with a 23 spline input will bolt to the AX-15. :thumbsup:

there's no need to shoot for early AX-15s. the later years will simply need a different pilot bearing/bushing. :thumbsup:

the flowmaster would be cool, but I'm not sure I'd want the gasses dumping so close to my cab. Unless your cat is clogged, you likely won't see any significant improvement in anything but the sweet, sweet music to your ears. :D

sorta common. but I'd look into the valve cover first. leaks at the back can dribble just as much oil as a RMS and are infinitely easier to cure. Try wiping a paper towel back there to see is the oily residue is fresh or old.

if you pull the pump, take note of the condition of the little rubber hoses. if they are degraded enough, it'll leak and lose pressure.

be careful about scooping up road dust. otherwise your filter will clog up faster.

So I've decided to put forth effort to gather up an example of every MJ ad ever published and keep them together for posterity's sake (and scan them to put on our site of course :D ), which inevitably led to ebay, and shock that guys are asking 5 bucks plus for them. :eek: (they aren't selling, so don't go thinking you've hit some sort of goldmine) Seems thousands of ads from old mags are finding their way to ebay, so it's not like it's an MJ-thing. and thus I'm going a different route and asking you guys to look around the house for magazines from 85-92 (seems most ads were from the early years). Doesn't have to be a 4x4 mag, or even a car-related mag. If you've got some, leaf through 'em to see if there's anything about MJs. :thumbsup: If you find one, let me know and I'll PM you my address. articles about MJs are even better. :banana: some examples I've seen online:
