  1. For us lazy sods ;) Link? http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=904488 I just didn't want anyone to think I was pimping another board on here... Linking to another forum to help out a fellow Jeeper is never considered pimping. :D
  2. If I remember this right, the size is cast in on the inside of the rim. Also, we have a classifieds for want ads.
  3. MJ rear driveshafts are about a foot longer than XJ rear shafts, so you'll either need the proper junkyard MJ shaft, get a custom one built, or have your current 2wd shaft cut down to size (which is what I did on mine)
  4. the output shafts are different. to convert a 2wd AX-15 trans to 4wd, you'd have to tear apart the 2wd trans and install the backend parts from a 4wd trans.
  5. so nice and clean... check under the carpets and keep it away from the salt.
  6. very nice. needs paint. :D going with baja flares for the back? looks pretty good as-is so I'm not sure if it's necessary on an MJ.
  7. :needpics:
  8. I dropped the pan 4 or 5 times before mine was finally sealed. :ack: a nicked seal, not enough sealant, and impatience to not wait for the sealant to dry are among the reasons I had to start over. try squirting even more sealant up there in every corner and where the seal halves' touch each other. and if it were me I'd yank the new seal out for inspection. they are pretty cheap and very delicate.
  9. car-part.com might help find you some parts in the junkyards near you.
  10. don't remember if I've run a bosch so I'll just say that the more you spend on an oil filter, the better it is.
  11. what's the mechanical damage?
  12. disk brake conversion ftw! or check out jeffsbroncograveyard.com I bet they have some of the old hardware.
  13. have you tried setting the arm at different angles?
  14. how old are the spark plug wires?
  15. Pete; What's the width and bolt pattern for the mid 90s v6 Isuzu D44? EDIT: Never mind, found out. It's 1.5 inches narrower and has 6-lug axles. Could work with spacers and redrilling the axles. yup, it matches the grand waggy front dana 44, not our MJ front dana 30.
  16. the last 2 Rodeo rears I've bought didn't need anything. :D
  17. whoops. that's what I get for having multiple posts open at once. :shake: bottom line, I'd shoot for 4.10s with 31s, but 3.73 will be good also. Ive got 3.55s with 31s in my 90 and it drives just fine for a street truck. :D
  18. do the trannys behind those 4 bangers have simlilar gear ratios? i was hoping to get at least some sort of a performance benefit from them as in stock gear and tire size vs. 3.73 or 4.10 and 31"s. what was the stock tire size anyway? shouldnt i have 3.09 stock gears with my combo of 4.0/ax15? yes they have similar gearing. I think what you're experiencing is simply "different" than what you're used to and not anything necessarily bad. just gotta drive it more so your shift patterns adjust.
  19. I've seen it in person. It's a comanche. It's a really really fast Comanche :D dasbulliwagen is just jealous.
  20. I'd have no problem running 4.10s with 31s. stock 4bangers came with 4.10s and puny tires and I've never thought of them as extreme.
  21. bandaid? tires are a part of your overall ratio and should be in any calculations. 30x9.5s on 3.55s worked great for me. I hope you're not trying to make a car out of a truck. :hmm:
  22. Jeepcoma, what size tires are you running?
  23. a mid 90s v6 Rodeo will have a rear Dana 44 to match that jeep front 44 and it comes with disks and either 4.10 or 4.31 gears.
  24. grab a phone book and look for steel supply companies. I got my 1x4 bar stock from the same place that cut it for me.
