  1. Built me some shelves in the garage today…….used a buncha 2X4’s and some OSB Workbench is next Image Not Found Image Not Found
  2. for the front line, there is a metal clamp/bracket that holds it that you have to take off. Carefully pop that large plastic vaccuum "tree" connector (that big gizmo with all the vac lines running into/out of it) and remove the nut from the stud beneath it. Then you can pull the clamp off the stud.....freeing up the metal fuel line. That will give you more movement and help you get the line out of the QD. There isn't much room on the back fitting, but it will come apart eventually. Try hitting both with some silicon spray as you try to work them apart. Jeff
  3. if they're Renix lines, you don't need the disco tools.......squeeze the "ears" inward and push backwards while twisting the rubber line. If you've never had them off, they can be quite stubborn but just keep at it, twisting the line gently and they'll eventually pop off. Jeff

    what is your DD

'01 TJ (2.5L) Can't wait to trade it on either an 00-01 XJ, or a Dakota pickup... it's a lotta fun to drive, but not as a DD :ack: Jeff
  5. MJ - stick TJ - stick wife's Subaru - auto :chillin: manual FTW Jeff
  6. it wasn't pretty........but we'll take the win :chillin: Stillerz '09, off to a good start! Jeff
  7. X2 on the single reuse The bolts are called torque-to-yeild (TTY) and can be reused one time (and should be marked if so). But, if in doubt, I'd replace them. Be warned, they are not cheap.......about $8 EACH from the dealer. Don't forget to add sealant to the threads on #11 as it passes thru the water jacket. Jeff
  8. RE HD trackbar and brace on mine…..the brace is a PITA to get bolted in, but other than that it's a good setup. Image Not Found Image Not Found Jeff
  9. sig worthy........
  10. Budhound, props to you. You show a can-do attitude that, sad to say, is lacking around this country as of late. My wife and I moved here to VA about 10 years ago, her with a company transfer, and me jobless. Second day here I called a temp service, went and interviewed/tested (scored well) but they didn't have any jobs available and I said thanks and went on my way. Two days later they called me back and said they had a job, pretty crappy in an even crappier part of town, and it only paid minimum wage.....I took it becuase it was WORK. Ten years later, we're doing pretty good, I'm vested with the place that took me on as a temp and saving buttloads of cash for retirement (still 20 years off, but I'll only be 60 then). Life is what you make of it, with what you are handed. Jeff
  11. 1.31 jiggawatts...... :D Jeff
  12. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11205 not a hard swap, but you need some very specific parts..... ;) Jeff
  13. .....and the Dirty O's for some french fries  Jeff

  15. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11077
  16. glad ya had a good trip Pete
  17. I've seen them in the junkards from time to time as well, never checked what years they were. First one I saw made my head turn.....I thought whover owned it did some creative swapping of parts somewhere down the line. But then I saw a few others. Jeff
  18. just as soon as it drops below 100 degrees up here... ;) I might try to leave work early tomorrow and go (but it's supposed to rain, so we'll see) Jeff
  19. 24X20 here too in the new house (actually the door is only 20' wide, didn't notice that on the build as I was more worried about the height and if my MJ would roll in/out....it does but with only about 3" to spare  ). I'm in the same boat as Pete...I've got a D-ring hitch mounted in the front receiver that I have to take out or else I smash my thigh trying to walk in front of it nosed-in. If I still had the stock step bumper I'm not sure if the door would close or not ;) Jeff Image Not Found Image Not Found
  20. eggzachary ;) Jeff
  21. I'm right around 6" with SOA rear and adjustable UCA's and fixed LCA's currently. The LCA's I'm running were donated to me by a friend and they have a bend in them, but I'm not sure of the brand (Rusty's maybe.....). It's a functional setup, but not ideal. Handling-wise everything is nice (even a bit twitchy due to the caster I'm running), but you definately feel every crack in the road, trust me. I have a set of RC drop brackets I bought a few months ago when they had them on the "deal of the day" sale, waiting in the parts pile to go on when I get the time to actually work on my MJ instead of the new house :ack: My .02c Jeff
  22. The clip has an open side, and it slides down over the post on the pedal arm. Spin the clip around until you can see the open side and pry upward with a small screwdriver while at the same time, with your third hand, pulling the clip up off the post. Beware, that little clip will shoot off the post at light speed if you let it, and depending on it's trajectory when it launches you may or may not ever see it again :D BTW, I still have that tailgate handle.......my wife and I are coming up to J-town for family reunions in early August down at Windber Rec. I'll bring it with me and we can meet up if you're around  Jeff
  23. They're more than likely rusted up along the framerail above the rear axle. It's not a question of if, but rather when, they will pop a leak. Quite a common problem on MJ's, especially if you're in the rust/salt belt area. Jeff
  24. USPS is -1 in my book.....you should see what they did to an alternator that I shipped to whowey  It must have fallen a good 10 feet, at least, and landed on the pulley side. Snapped the frame clean in half. Stoopid me didn't put any insurance on the package, either. Jeff
  25. I ran 33's on my 2.5 with 4.56's for a short time...it pretty much brought the suck on highway, and on trails unless I was in 4LO. Jeff
