  1. That's exactly why I said it was very refreshing.
  2. I drove a bunch of them (motor pool trucks) all over Luzon when I was in the Philippines, but they were all diesels. Nothing exciting to write home about, but they were definitely a lot more reliable than the S10s we also used.
  3. They probably did it to save $$ by incorporating the top molding piece into the grill.
  4. How about "Renix MJ grills only go in one way, the right way and the wrong way."
  5. You going to do it?
  6. Clean up the ground connections on the oil dip stick tube too.
  7. Throttle body fuel injection. Should be a braided ground strap from a head bolt to the firewall.
  8. How did they fit fine? Did you pull the existing rubbers from the screw-in original cups then press in the new Daystar rubbers? The rubbers look like they are different diameters.
  9. The threads on these bump stops are 3/8"x16. Anyone have a stock XJ/MJ front screw-in bump stop laying around to measure the threads?
  10. Yeah, but I also want to do like Dirty says, a little "more right" by using a longer screw-in stop. Surprised nobody ever made these...
  11. Very refreshing - enjoyed it.
  12. I was just looking at those when you posted. If the thread is the same they would... You would think someone would make these for the early front XJ/MJ rigs........ I suppose I could shim them an inch somehow like I did for the rears:
  13. Thanks Mean. So not interchangeable. I have the old screw-ins and would like to extend them an inch or so. Are there ready-made longer screw-in bump stops available?
  14. BUMP STOPS OLD TYPE NEW TYPE How do the new type mount? Have no experience with them. And what are the progressive bump stops?
  15. I just blocked off the ports that went into the console. The side discharge vents were unaffected. I did notice the p/n for the 91 and up discharge duct was different than the earlier one, so maybe the design is different. Also the duct is different between the console and non-console vehicles.
  16. I used the XJ diffuser when I put my console in years ago, and pop-riveted a plastic block off plate to cover the discharge ports going into the console. You sure don't need to waste heated/cooled air by blowing it into the console.
  17. Read this: https://comancheclub.com/forums/topic/44656-full-center-console/?tab=comments#comment-454485
  18. Damn. I was hoping there was such a thing.
  19. "triple brake booster" ?
  20. OP, ignore the guessing game above and check the codes. That's always the first step with OBD1. A bad ECU is possible but unlikely. But do disconnect it's 60-pin connector and check for any bent or recessed pins, then clean both the male and female connectors with a good electrical contact cleaner then reseat.
  21. What kind of problem are you trying to avoid? The HO ECU learning process? Would be best to start another thread detailing your question(s).
  22. Nice writeup, and they look great. Been thinking about these for awhile now, but thought they didn't follow the rocker panel body line as in shelbyluvv's original writeup on his install. Would like to see some additional pics of the undercarriage at the frame and rocker pinch seam attachment points if possible. Hmmmmm.....
  23. I recently ordered a set of MJ custom mats HERE. Will post up later on the condition/fit after I receive.
  24. A chrome bumper and grill up front, plus chrome Rubicon wheels, rear bumper and mirrors will make your your Libby look n i c e Pete.
  25. And HERE'S how to clock / install it.
