  1. Shift cable out of adjustment at the tranny. Try adjusting it to get some of the slack out. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Transmission_and_Transfer_Case/Transmission_Automatic_Shifter_Adjustments.htm https://www.autozone.com/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0900c152800a9e62
  2. Just looked it up in the FSM - your memory is working well.
  3. You're a strange troop Dirty.
  4. The mechanicals should be PnP, but I haven't personally done it. But electrically not; the switch won't plug into the Renix harness of course. There are three switches contained on the HO switch assembly; one for the brake lights, one for cruise, and one for the AW4 torque converter. You just need to ID with an ohmmeter and wire in the NO (normally open) switch for the brake lights. Easy peasy.
  5. Yes, thick 4.56 gear sets are available for the D44. https://www.yukongear.com/productdetails.aspx?ProdID=12090
  6. Looks like it has the limited slip carrier. Count the teeth on the ring gear, then divide by the number of teeth on the pinion gear to get the ratio. Should be 41 : 11 if it's a 3.73. If you change the ratio to 4.10 and up, you will need a new carrier, or you can use a "thick" set of R&P gears and keep your existing limited slip carrier. That's what I did when I went from 3.55 to 4.10.
  7. It's not the frame that matters. It's the plate.
  8. Wouldn't be a very hard search; 91 and up MJ/XJ all use the same bracket and switch.
  9. What vehicle is the axle from and what gears are in it now?
  10. Thanks - would love to see a pic if possible.
  11. What's a 50 Cent?
  12. This company has lots of good stuff on their SITE.

  15. She's probably a thirty-something year old mother of six by now...
  16. Because it's posted for sale on every retail automotive web site known to modern man.
  17. If memory serves, a stainless 1/4" bolt trimmed to the appropriate length that replaces the worn out hinge pin is a good fix.
  18. This? 91MJdude's NC truck.
  19. Another famous celebrity Jeep:
  20. There are no bushings on the door hinge assemblies.
  21. Thanks for the reminder Jeff.
  22. Nope, they have different part numbers. Rob, the D35 w/o anti-lock brakes use the same strut bars as the 44 according to the parts manual.
  23. The USN usually followed naming conventions in the past, but not much anymore. Aircraft carriers were named after famous battle victories (Midway) or famous political figures (Roosevelt), battleships after US states (New Jersey), cruisers after US cities (Newport News), submarines after fish (Dogfish) and destroyers and smaller ships after famous naval figures (Leahy). The ship I spent the most time on was the USS Harry E. Yarnell, a guided missile frigate named after some obscure admiral. Of course, the crews of every ship have their own nicknames too. We affectionately called the Yarnell the "Hairy Urinal".
  24. Put it in your signature like everyone else does. The site doesn't go down. Here's how to do it. https://comancheclub.com/forums/topic/51707-cc-members-create-a-signature-to-describe-your-mj/
