  1. I ran into this awhile back on a header install and contacted FelPro. The foil (metal) side goes toward the manifold. Oh, and check the alignment of the exhaust ports w. the gasket. I had to do a little Dremel trimming for the HO head.
  2. Anyone ever watch this new show on the History channel? This has to be the stupidest, no-talent, low budget show ever. This clown comes in with a wide variety of cutting tools; cutting torches, plasma, and an assortment of saws and cuts stuff in half. Like airplanes, armored cars, refridgerators, everything. What's the point? And why the History channel?? I'd like to see him cut open an MJ, but we all know what he'd find - RUST. :D
  3. Mosley basically quit on his feet after the second round and went into survival mode. He lost by unanimous decision. He was in it for the payday and didn't want to get hurt probably looking for another payday down the road. I thought he was different and would fight his heart out against Mayweather, like Hatten and Marquez did, and Pacquio will. Modern American fighters care only about the $$ now. But at least Mayweather admits it. :(
  4. So much for that freaking waste of money. I'll never learn. Boxing used to be a great sport.
  5. Yeah, you would think so, since I'm sure those rotors were magnafluxed, x-rayed, and put through other rigorous quality control procedures. :shake:
  6. I did just to see Shane kick the sheite out of Fool Mayweather.
  7. Confucius say cheap Chinese rotor + oversize tire = eventual disaster.
  8. I'm a big fan of the load sensing valve, but if it's leaking, the internal seals are shot and there are no more. So, either plumb in another valve from a Toyota p/u or similar (which I will do if and when mine fails), use an aftermarket inline manually adjustable prop valve like a Wilwood, or bypass it as per the many posts present. The "other" line may or may not be effective; not worth taking a chance mate.
  9. Nice it was upside-down for quick and easy removal. :D Or did you roll it?
  10. To answer this question intelligently, need to know where you're located mate.
  11. Thanks Eagle - makes sense. But how do you ID the spring codes? I have OME coils, so it doesn't matter to moi anymore, but have always wondered how to ID all the various stock options. Probable had a piece of tape wrapped around one of the coils w. a p/n that disappeared in a year or two? Or maybe a paint ring? I have no clue. :D
  12. No, the MF switch is embedded in the column in the older columns. The stalk is the actuator and plugs into it. Both come in several varieties and flavors depending on which Saginaw column and options.
  13. Who cares??
  14. From the FSM, here's a list of the various front coil springs that were available for MJs and XJs. Unfreaking believable. 15. tilt, non-tilt column; delay wipers?? I got mine for my 91 column shift w. non-tilt and delay wipers from Turner 4WD. Best price I could find. Been working well for 4+ years now.
  16. I've loved chrome for a long time Jim. Here's a pic from ten years ago. :D
  17. Yeah but even the Scout had square bezel around the round headlight. :D Image Not Found

  20. He has a very expressive intelligent face and I enjoyed the pics you posted previously with your chickens. :D Everybody needs a good dog or two. Best friends you'll ever have.
  21. Periodically check Ebay, good deals show up regularly. I got a full set for my 91 for $25. Pretty dogeared now though. :D
  22. Friendly advice from an oldtimer: While it's better than no reference, please don't waste your hard earned $$ on the Haynes stuff. Save up for the factory FSMs. It's the best tool you'll ever have and the investment will pay for itself many times over if you do your own maintenance as most of us do.
  23. Nice dog Sam.
  24. Sent my response before you replied. I have the internal wiring diagrams of the various clusters. For the external harness connections I only have the HO models. Anyone w. a Renix FSM pertaining to your model year should be able to provide you this. I'm sure one of our fine forum Renix gentlemen can provide what you need.
