Well, the Giants are sure impressing me so far. The odds don't look too good for El Tigres. Third base coach Lamont sending slow-footed Prince Fielder thundering home was a bone headed call. What a beautiful relay throw from Scutero to Posey and the Posey's tag was picture perfect. It's just better all-around execution by the Giants in all areas. Leland's crying now about the long layoff hurting the Tigers. You would think he learned something about preparation in 06 when the same thing happened against the Cards. Leland and his staff are just getting flat out-coached so far by their Giant counterparts. Ah well, it's not over till it's over.

Okay. I read somewhere there was a pulley alignment problem when using the Renix brackets for the ND alt shell, but forgot where.........

First, no 95 XJ ever came with a 140A alternator from the factory. 117A was the largest and 90% of them were 90A. Second, you're thinking of putting this 95 XJ Nippon Denso alternator into a Renix, correct? 91+ ND alternators are regulated by the ECU; the Renix alt is internally regulated. Do you have a clue as to how you will regulate the 95 ND alternator? If you don't, suggest you consider an upgraded Renix alternator as posted above by Gjeep.

Amen to that. Freaking political wordsmithing.

Seems like it started with someones pic of a Liberty light bar on an MJ? :dunno:

Windshield Wiper Arm Removal

It can cause you to double post too. -
World Series game 1, bottom of the fifth, 6-0 San Fran. Zito is neato, and Verlander is gone. Sandoval ties Babe Ruth's home record with three in a World Series game and may break it before it's over.

Mounts. Both motor and tranny.

I used that same alternator on my HO. No grinding was required.

It's a whole lot easier and less hassle to simply replace the Zerk fittings with low profile flush needle point grease fittings as used in some 5-153X greasable Spicer u-joints on the driveshaft. No removing the Zerks or plugging required during lube time. The flush grease fittings are available from the McMaster-Carr catalog (p/n 10595K14) and a Lincoln #5803 needle adapter is required for your grease gun.

Don't need no reminders. But thanks for the thought...

Zero stress tonight for the Cali Giants fans. 8-nada, top of the 8th, it's over. I haven't seen a choke like the Cards are doing since 04 when the Red Sox came back down 0-3 then beat the Yanks four straight to win the ALCS. Great comeback for the Giants in the NLCS this year, but it will be all for naught when the Really Big Show commences Wednesday night. Tigers in six.

That makes perfect sense contracting out the sand blasting. That company does a lot of good things. I guess they exist, but I don't know of any outfit like that down here, except for marine applications. Even with little rust if you're doing a full frame-off resto it's for sure the way to go to see bright shiny metal.
-
It looks dayem good stripped down to parade rest - I'm surprised in not seeing more rust. So what happens at the metal prep place? I've never done anything like this and don't know.

Crap - I thought he was talking about the NY FOOTBALL Giants. And yes, San Fran is kickin Cardinal butt so far.

Since COFFMAN is from Oz, he's talking about Roo bars. We don't have too many of those giant rabbits running around in the wild here like you do mate.

High Brake Pedal After Booster Upgrade?...
HOrnbrod replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It has to be specific to the 2000 booster arm length. Did you compare the old single diaphragm booster to the new one before bolting it in? -
You lucky dog. This game has to be the game of the year so far. What a finish for Eli, Cruz, and the Giants! Wow, I would have loved to be there.

A lot has changed. Point is that it can be done now with no problems. I was in the military also in the 60s. But my "car" was a big gray floating thing. I never shipped vehicle during those times..........
-
That's with a 100MPH tail wind an traveling down a 45* grade. Just kidding mnkyboy, couldn't resist.

When was this? The gov shipped my S10 back and forth from CONUS to overseas twice in the 80s. There were no restrictions as to whether the POV was a car, van, or pickup. And depending on the SOFA agreement with the particular country, you could sell the vehicle to a foreign national. I sold the S10 to a local, bought a new XJ from AAFES, then shipped it home. The State Dept. pukes could sell their vehicles to the locals in any country. That was one of the perks the Embassy people got. They'd ship a Lincoln or Caddy to their new duty station, sell it to a local for 2x - 4x it's worth, then buy a new something from AAFES.

Electric Cooling Fan
HOrnbrod replied to Old man with MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I suspect the motor RPM vs. HP ratings on the Dorman, TYC, and other offshore fans are nowhere equal to the OEM fans. I'd rather go with a used OEM if you can find one.
