  1. Just lucky I guess. :dunno:
  2. Got that right. No snow tires, no plows, no salt (that's good though), and drivers have no clue how to drive on it. The only snow removal system is the sun.
  3. Everything is either canceled, postponed, closed, or abolished. Was out riding around in the JK and was all alone. Image Not Found
  4. NOW you tell me......................
  5. Who you gonna call?
  6. Long crank times are normal for a Renix engine, but not an HO engine like you have in the 91. Suggest you do the procedure below to see if you have any stored fault codes and correct them all before you start. Reading these codes should give you a clue of what is causing the long crank times. A common cause is a bad CPS (Crank Position Sensor). I recently had to replace the one on my 91. It was throwing codes 11 and 54. http://comancheclub.com/topic/28111-reading-obdi-91-and-92-mj-fault-codes/
  7. Five plus days left. That's an eternity on Ebay. The action will start five minutes before the end. Maybe he should have put it up on Barrett-Jackson. Tis a rare MJ animal..........
  8. Looks really great. Love the bed cover, roll bar, and yellow Euro fogs. Just one thing - ditch the chrome tailgate guard, or paint it black. I love chrome but it looks very out of place on your pristine rig. We have similar strokers and I've been thinking seriously of going with the Yella-Terra 1.7 rockers too. What's your eval on these and did you have any clearance problems with the valve cover? And you're still a Limey, but that's all good.
  9. Good point and I agree. Why don't you get a pair of the Brown Dog rubber mounts and let me know how they work? I've read that they do transmit more vibes than the stock Mopar mounts. My first choice would be factory mounts, but they are stupid expensive.
  10. :needpics:
  11. Do you know the free arch measurement for these 4+1 leaf packs? If used for SOA they should crank it up maybe 7"-8" looks like. Especially with the load rating you posted.
  12. EDIT: The p/n 52117660 GROMMET does NOT fit the 91 and below AW4 CPS cutout. Do not order. If anyone has the CPS grommet (plastic cover) for a 91 or Renix AW4 lying around, sure would appreciate one.

  14. Junk it and go electric.

  16. Yes, remember about your parents. Uncle's contracting most everything out now, especially in DoD, and when they offered a deal to retire, I jumped. The private sector is the best way to go now I think, especially with who's in power. Sounds like you have a good handle on things and a good background from your folks. Best wishes for a successful future mate.
  17. Way to go Sam - you deserve it. I loved the travel for 30+ years in telecomms for Uncle. Get it in while you're young mate and invest well. With the good benes and all - maybe Siemens or a sub?
  18. See it now.
  19. What about using a low profile grade 8 button head bolt of the appropriate size?
  20. Where are the hood vents?
  21. This is true. But amazingly enough it comes right back the next night. I used a more subtle variation of this because I was more cultured than you and didn't want to scare anyone. I'd tape a note of the local currency worth maybe 5-10 USD on my forehead, walk in the bar, and and scream in the local dialect "Hi ladies! See anything about me you like?". Worked every time.
  22. When I was posted throughout various countries throughout the South Pacific and Asia, I found it quite easy to speak the local languages within a year. All I did was frequent the local bars as much as I could, drink plenty of the local brew, and pretty soon I was speaking excellent bar room versions of Tagalog, Chamorro, and Marshallese. Korean and Japanese took a whole lot longer though and tons more beer. I don't know why...............
  23. If you have a 4-wire O2 sensor (I think the 86 does), about the only thing you can do is verify it is receiving the switched 12V to the O2 heater circuit and verify the heater coil inside is not open. For the signal out to the computer there's not much you can do w/o an A/F meter or similar to monitor it. If your state has emissions testing you could ask them to test it for you.
  24. Early GM S10 / S15 tails are nearly the same size and style as the MJ tails.
