  1. The helper spring on the rear leafs looks like a Hellwig unit, and the forward facing rear sway bar looks like a custom install from perhaps a Camaro. No idea on the horizontal shocks................. Has this rig been lowered a bit?
  2. ^^ This. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/waterpump-tutorial-893428/
  3. Nice job with the hitch. Did you cut a square hole through the air dam to mount it?
  4. One thing the Russians (and many other countries) have is compulsory military service for all their able-bodied male citizens for at least a year. This does mold productive citizens out of some (not all) of the scumbags who would otherwise end up as a waste and burden to society. Saves $$ for the taxpayers too. I'm all for it.
  5. I like your existing wheels much better than the new ones.
  6. Try topping off the fluid then bleed first.
  7. The panels are the same for the both the lighter and delete versions. The only difference in the delete version is the thin solid matte fascia piece that is glued on and covers the lighter hole. #22 below...
  8. Check the ground screw behind the left tail lamp to be sure it's clean and tight.
  9. depending where you drill the mounting holes, you can get about 2-1/2" clearance.
  10. You can fit much larger and deeper lamps on this bar..........
  11. Detours Bumper Brow Lite Bar?
  12. Briarwood That's the Crierwood version.
  13. I've had those tires on other vehicles and echo what Bo said - they are great tires and look good too. They do get a bit noisy on the street after they get a little wear, but no more than other MT tires. The BS of the wheels however will cause the tires to stick out an inch or so past the flares, and I personally wouldn't care for that. Plus I don't think I'd like those wheels on my MJ either - they are too busy for me. It is a good deal though. I'd grab the set, use the tires, then sell the wheels. You would probably end up with a free set of tires.
  14. I like them toward the rear with drip pans. http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoBonnetVents.htm
  15. Those Spectre cowl intakes are NLA and have been for some time.............
  16. Only one I know of is the Hesco unit that triggers the ignition from the harmonic balancer. But that's only for HO's. EDIT: I think he's talking about the C101 bypass kit. There was a TSB out to bypass the C101 connector on the Renix engines. It is Chrysler Service Bulletin 18-51-88, aka J007. 83100066 | Kit-Sensor Cps Crank Position S Here's one on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Jeep-Crank-Position-Sensor-Kit-XJ-Cherokee-MJ-Comanche-83100066-/332060911534?hash=item4d505f67ae:g:wKgAAOSwux5YTvJs&vxp=mtr
  17. Colorado. Must be one of Yella's rigs. :rotfl2:
  18. Nickle and dime bastids.....................
  19. Yes, of course an LED by itself is a diode, but some of the newer (more expensive) LED bulbs have built-in bridge rectifiers and will operate regardless of polarity.
  20. Was the upshift lamp operating normally before you changed the dash lights to LEDs? If so somehow the LED swap has added a ground loop causing the lamp to illuminate w/o input from it's sensor. Maybe by reversed polarity of one of the LEDs providing a ground path. Did you try plugging the upshift LED in by rotating it 180*. If that doesn't work I'd just pull it to avoid other possible ground loops in the cluster.
  21. Good Lord. That thing must be fun to drive in a heavy crosswind. Am surprised it doesn't have Alabama plates.
  22. Screwed up the packaging date. To be honest, I don't remember where I got them, I've had them for years. I think Ebay; as I recall they were listed only by the Mopar part number. http://comancheclub.com/topic/49481-need-new-ball-joints/?hl=ball+joints&do=findComment&comment=503519
  23. Great info hearing from an expert that my NOS Mopar ball joints in the original 1993 Mopar packaging that are stamped with D/S part numbers were manufactured to a much higher standard than than the current Spicer offerings. I'm perfectly happy now.
  24. Yes, you can use an extended shackle to grab another inch w/o any ill effects. I did this after my new MT springs settled out about 3/4" over a years time using the Teraflex shackles. I think this is a crock and is a contradicted factoid throughout the various FSM's. 2WD and 4WD vehicles can use the same springs and other suspension parts, wheels, etc. and you could order any combination of these suspension parts in both models. You can't make a blanket general statement that all 4WD trucks were 1" taller than all 2WD trucks from the factory. And "factory" ride height and how to measure it varies depending on which model (year) FSM you are looking at.
  25. Only one I know of is the Hesco unit that triggers the ignition from the harmonic balancer. But that's only for HO's.
