  1. Sorry to see it happen too Jim, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Hope all your MJ stuff went to a good home and not a scrap yard. But that doesn't mean you gotta get out of the Comanche Club business. You hear?
  2. It has some mileage but if it's been well cared for that's not a problem. Plus it's an unmolested 92 - the rarest year of all. Run the VIN, and if it checks out as a clean TX truck it's whole life and runs and drives well it's well worth the asking price.
  3. Load sensing valve arm is flipped..........
  4. Check for fault codes: http://comancheclub.com/topic/28111-reading-obdi-91-and-92-mj-fault-codes/
  5. There is no lock on the center console lid. Do you mean the latch assembly?
  6. As I recall that truck still had nice original paint. If you remove the decals you will probably see the outline of them on the truck because of paint fade over the years. Then you'll have to have a shop buff out the whole truck if the original paint is deep enough to do it. I'd leave it alone and live with it's originality.
  7. Hilarious Maximus! I like that version better than the original Roy Orbison hit. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
  8. This one will work if whatever you are hooking it up to in front has an output shaft with 27 splines. AW4, 242, 231, etc. I don't know what your 86 (assuming) has. This one has an 8" shaft, but they make them even longer if you need one. Don't think you will. It's cheaper than having your driveshaft lengthened. It also has longer the u-joint ears in front that prevent u-joint binding with taller lifts that cause larger u-joint operating angles.
  9. No flicker for me either. MJs don't use PWM devices normally, although the Spal fan controller I use is supposedly a PWM device. It must have a good filter though because it doesn't affect the headlamps.
  10. Flickering is only a problem with ignition systems that use PWM (pulse-width modulation) devices. It's my understanding that the PWM stuff causes high freq ripples in the 12VDC power. I used the anti-flicker harnesses on my JK because they came with the Truck-Lites I got for the JK. It's not so bad that you can't use LED lamps w/o them; many people don't use the harnesses at all.
  11. If it has a plastic non-pressurized expansion tank with a plastic cap that has min/max marks on it to check coolant level it's an open system. The pressure cap can be inline on the radiator hose or the radiator itself. My 15 JK has an open system. I haven't seen any newer vehicles with closed systems; all the ones I've looked at had open systems, but of course I haven't seen them all.
  12. A LOT? Name some please.
  13. I've never seen them before, and I never want to see them again.
  14. Nice to know you have an auto. Yes, "jolting" can be caused by a bad AW4 solenoid #3 (torque converter lockup) that can cause the TC to engage/disengage under certain conditions like coasting. It can also be caused by a maladjusted throttle valve (TV) cable. Try adjusting it: http://www.allpar.com/SUVs/jeep/cherokee-transmission.html
  15. Midlothian where?
  16. Ah, okay. Looking at it more closely I see it's a 4-gang switch plate. I just have a 2-gang switch plate there - no power locks. Chrome of course.
  17. Did you use a flipped right side power window switch bezel on that panel?
  18. No worries about axle wrap with that rig.

  20. The ADDCO bar has a crappy mounting system on the SWB MJs - it uses "L" brackets on the upper shock studs to mount. I know guys who have them and are less than happy to put it mildly. Lol. No Mike, that's a pic of the factory optional ZQ8 bar on an S10. That bar would probably work fine on a SWB MJ with different end links. There are plenty of them on Ebay. Here's a cleaner one:
  21. If your stalk is turning "a whole 360" most likely the multifunction switch that the stalk plugs into is shot.
  22. Looked it up and one of those states is FL. The others are Hawaii, Missouri, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. Weird...........
  23. I don't think the SCCA MJs even had rear sway bars, but am not positive. Ben? I like how the bar is mounted on your rig. I mocked it up in various configurations on my LWB but never found the right bar as the fuel tank always got in the way. So I ended up going similar to the S10 factory-type setup picture below. It is a good upgrade for a street truck.
