  1. Drum roll, as the curtains begin to raise. The the suspense is to tense, you can cut it with a knife.
  2. I couldn't find one, but does anyone have a write up on how to install a Shift linkage for a 4x4 swap? Seems like the only thing I don't know how to hook up. Probably just simple and I'm just over looking it. Thanks in advance.
  3. Short bed trucks have a smaller wheel base than a long bed. The bed won't fit. Only choice I know is to bobb the bed. Atleast thats all that I have seen......
  4. Well there is this one i like:http://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/4105353070.html But I think its a v-6, its the blue one.
  5. Do you mean a 89? Here is one:http://comancheclub.com/topic/17566-360-fuel-injection-build/page-5 Should be on the fifth page at the bottom. You basically bob the bed. Long bed wheel bases are longer than a shortbeds. Id just buy a shortbed than cut up a long bed IMO.
  6. http://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/4135044205.html What do you guys think? I'm thinking about trading something for it but wanted to see what you guys think of it. I can repair the front. its the bed I'm worried about. I would buy another long bed with the v-6 for $500 but don't have the money. Its a 4.0 Auto.
  7. Them Cards have been playing good this year :brows:
  8. Track bar is possibly bent. That is where I would check first. Its where the play is coming from in mine because its a little bent. (No I didnt hit a curb) :teehee: or I did............
  9. Hey, if its on a weekend again, I might be able to go :brows: Finally........
  10. Now everytime he shuts the door it rattles like marbles in the bottom. :D Glad it worked out great. Now it looks original and as if nothing even happened.
  11. Welcome to the club!!! nice looking comanche. Sounds like a good one. I see we have another AMC fan?????
  12. So they can be swapped out for a different year 2.5 oil pan?
  13. I was doing an oil change yesterday and saw where the oil drain plug. it was right next to the exhaust and was hard to remove, and had to remove it from the manifold in order to get it back on. My engine is from a 87 or 88 comanche 2.5. Did they change the oil pan those years? or did they stay the same and they are just that hard to get to? Thanks in advance!
  14. Looks good! Just wondering but how long did it take to do the swap???
  15. Yes, something could be going bad and either drawing all the power, or you have a possible short.
  16. I love how the roll pan lines up with the topper and tailgate all together. Looks like they were ment to be.
  17. Awesome! Better a FWD the not being able to drive at all.
  18. Welcome to the club!! Love your Comanche, its clean and has Ravine rims on it
  19. I was waiting for this to happen!!! Well deserved!! Congrats!!
  20. Yeah i saw that and was thinking about it, but DEFINATLY not $1000, i would go up there in my MJ and say "You see that pretty black Comanche? I bought that one the way it is running for $1000."
  21. In the oil or just in general????
  22. Supercharged Buick 3800 (I think) lol Id prefer the 2.5. You get good gas mileage, torque and some power. I live in MO and I can drive up a hill in 4th gear just fine with out down shifting. They are durable and a very easy engine to work on. They are great engines.
  23. Hmm i might look into the ATF thing, i might see. Still sounds a little sketchy to me. But hey if it works, then it works.
  24. I need to, can't think straight when I'm tired.
