  1. I have a 33-9.50-15 under mine. Fits fine.
  2. There is a small rubber plug that goes in there. You should be able to get one from a Dealer. Part # 00015105 http://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/p/JEEP_1991_CHEROKEE40L-I6-Power-Tech--5-Speed-Manual/PLUG-Transmission-Case-PLUG--PLUG--Oil-Access-Hole--Rt-Side-Rubber--PLUG--Rear-Case-52098899--52111083--From-91002--Thru-9902--With-Police--Without-Po/6637496/00015105.html
  3. Yes I did, with the help of the macs tank. Very easy to convert to an open system that way. Macs tank + 2.5 Overflow bottle = Open System
  4. It mounts in the stock location. The mounting holes are already there.
  5. test
  6. This is the one I use. http://www.quadratec.com/products/51216_02.htm
  7. Here is one that's rated for 1" to 8" of lift. http://www.kevinsoffroad.com/cart/hardkor-track-bar-conversion-cures-death-wobble-p-1017/
  8. Will get back tomorrow morning with the cost of shipping to San Diego.
  9. I would like to give them to a Comancheclub member very much. As I said they are just sitting in my basement. I live in the Seattle area.
  10. This is off topic, but is any one interested in the front coils that came on a metric ton package? Got a pair that are good as new sitting in my basement for years. I am the original owner of my truck and ordered it with the metric ton package. That's how I know.
  11. You can get rid of all the egr stuff to make room. Just remove all the plastic hoses and whatever and cap off where they went with rubber caps. Its a whole lot of stuff that doesn't do anything. You will also have to relocate your ballast resistor, but that's easy too. I would still recommend removing the temp sender to burp. Forgot to say good choice on the Macs. What's the saying? "Buy once cry once" You will never have a problem with it. Wish I could post some pics, good luck.
  12. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-CHRYSLER-OEM-84-90-Cherokee-2-5L-L4-Engine-Coolant-Recovery-Tank-52003213-/271879570919?hash=item3f4d4905e7&vxp=mtr There are still some for sale. Mopar doesn't make these anymore and I think they are better than the ones from Crown. I had a Crown one that leaked. What makes this bottle nice is all the mounting holes are already there, it just bolts in with 2 little screws.
  13. The best expansion tank to get is a OEM Mopar that is for a Jeep with a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder. There were some on ebay a while ago. And yes fill just as you described. Also do the burp by removing the temp. sending unit on the back of the head.
  14. 33-9.5-33 is a Pizza cutter. Don't think you would be happy for main tires as far as looks go, but tucks up nice for the spare. Are you on stock offset wheels? Stock offset will rub on control arms , less will rub on fenders. You should be fine with your 4.10 gears. I had the 33s with the stock 3.07 gears at first. What a dog, didn't even use 5th on the highway. Love the way the 33.10.5s look though. I get a lot of compliments when I go out.
  15. Would love to send you some pics, but I am in New Mexico and my mj is in Washington. Your going to get rubbing on your lower control arms. I first put the 33s on when I had about 3" lift. It works but its tight. I then went with Rubicon 4.5 springs, also there upper and lower control arms. This set up works great for me. I don't hard core wheel with it though. They also make a 33-9.5-33 and that's what I have for a spare.
  16. I have been running them for years. They are mounted on the stock rims and I have 4.5" of lift. Also changed my gearing to 4.56. Very happy.
  17. Search for a Dynatrac U Bolt flip kit. I put one on mine years ago and like it. Don't know if they still make them. Came with weld on shock mounts, but I ended up making my own mounts. I would post a pic but I am in New Mexico and my MJ is in Washington.
  18. I cut some pieces from a bicycle inner tube and slid them over mine. Works great. On the tail gate noise subject, what are people doing for the little round bumpers that the top of the tail gate rests against when closed? Last time I checked the dealer wanted about $7.00 apiece. Don't know if they are even available any more.
  19. I have a 33x9.50-15 under mine.
  20. " I guess what I'm looking for it was is my best cheapest way to beef up the cooling." I would start with a new fan clutch. You can go with the heavier duty ZJ fan clutch like Backdraft suggested but its going to be loud. Might not be a big deal under 15mph. Do a google search for napa # 272310 lots of info on this subject. Also with the Macs tank that Shane talked about, you can convert your system from closed to open by adding an expansion bottle from a xj or mj that had a 2.5 Good luck.
  21. Yes holds more fluid, better quality, it doesn't leak, and the mounting holes are all right there. You can see where I relocated the fuel pump resistor. The EGR is long gone.
  22. I have switched from a universal expansion tank to the OEM 2.5 tank. Part# 52003213 It works much better. You will also need the cap. I don't have that part number.
  23. My left turn sgnal does not work. I have replaced all the bulbs. If I turn on the parking lights the left turn indicator comes on the dash, and the left front light does not come on. When I turn on the emergency lights they all blink but the left front aluminates what should be the parking light instead of the turn signal. :hmm:
  24. I have this water pump on my 89 Comanche. It's a Cardone Severe-Duty. http://www.cardone.com/english/club/pro ... 0flyer.pdf #58455H Bolted right up. Works great. Don't know why they don't list it for 89.
