  1. I also have McGard lug nuts. They still look new after 7 years.
  2. Extended the LCAs half an inch to lower the front pinion angle. Rides better now. Also lowered the rear of the truck half an inch by installing XJ shackles. Looks just about level now. And installed a Viair 2.5 gallon air tank underneath the truck. I'll be installing the York OBA this week.
  3. They're just overlays. But I did put some LED bulbs in at the same time. I think it looks pretty good.
  4. Here's mine...
  5. I pulled one off a 99 XJ in the junkyard for $30. Definitely NOT plastic.
  6. Mike, I put some XJ main leafs (with the eyes cut off) in my MJ packs and got 2 inches of lift. This was enough for me to run 245/75/16 tires. Maybe it was ME that you heard it from when you came down for the M&G. ;) This is what it looked like with the modified leaf packs and V8 ZJ front coils and 1.5" coil spacers. The street ride was unaffected, but I don't know how it would be offroad.
  7. So... could you put the t-case in Neutral and remove only the front driveshaft? Come to think if it, my t-case is from a 96. I'll have to check it out. Not that it really matters though because I don't tow it anywhere.
  8. Sure, you can flat tow it. I know people who do it all the time. I believe the proper way is to leave the tranny in Park and put the t-case in Neutral.
  9. I THOUGHT this looked vaguely familiar. :D viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14439
  10. Longarms - I have some new RE arms. Just need to get a Clayton crossmember. York OBA - Had this system on my XJ. Should be installed within a couple of weeks. Rear bumper. Paint.
  11. With some angle iron or flat stock...and a welder.
  12. Do you have any pics yet? I want to do the OBA but want to retain the A/C so I am in a larger quandry. Thinking at this point that it will need to be an electrically run compressor. My MJ is an HO, so my previous setup will work. It would not work on your 89 Renix though.
  13. Kilby does have a kit for XJs and MJs, but it's only for the HO models unfortunately. For anyone interested, it's part number KE-1700. I had a York setup on my 98 XJ and am currently in the process of installing it on the MJ.
  14. Or do what I do, and walk into the local post office, grab what you need and go home. :???:
  15. Depends on the age and condition of the coils. New ones are supposed to give you 1-1.5 inches. I tried some used ones and only got half an inch.
  16. Yes, and they commonly snap off.
  17. Finally swapped in the Durango steering box that used to be on my old XJ. The stock MJ box was sloppy and leaking. Good news is that the output shaft was so well-lubricated, the pitman arm came off pretty easily.
  18. Welcome. What part of the state are you in?
  19. 119.6 inches. So shoot me. ;) The way I think of it is...a shortbed MJ's wheelbase is one foot longer than an XJ. And a longbed MJ's wheelbase is 1.5 feet longer than an XJ.
  20. XJ - 101 inches SB MJ - 113 inches LB MJ - 119 inches
  21. I had the Reflexxion hood along with the Redline Tuning struts. All I did was open the hood very slowly and let the hood rest on the wiper arm. I was going to put a rubber pad on the wiper arm so that the hood would not get scratched. But I ended up ditching the hood altogether.
  22. To the OP Scotty... When I did my SOA, I got the MORE perches and had Hellbilly weld them on after we set the pinion angle. Billy's in HB, so he's not too far from you.
  23. Project Onyx is here. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11834 I also have 97+ doors on my MJ. Hanging the door itself is not hard. But the wiring is a PITA.
  24. I believe that there were less than 1000 produced in the 1992 calendar year.
  25. A buddy of mine had his Moab wheels converted to functional beadlocks by OMF. So those could be real.
