http://comancheclub.com/topic/38872-bed-liners/?fromsearch=1 I'm going to be using monstaliner out of all the stuff I've read I think.

Not to sound rude, but you gotta actually go through and look at what all is offered. Here is a link to the same site Oceanic supplied, only modified for your exact truck: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?N=0&VN=4294962346+4294962302+4294967145+4294964365+4294966684&No=0&Nr=AND%28universal%3A0%29&Npp=10&use_warranty_code_parent=AutoTrust&Ntk=Main&Ntx=mode+matchallany&Nty=1&Ntt=alternator&D=alternator&Dx=mode+matchallany&mvtgroup=B&Npp=50 They have all the way up to 300 amp ones if you feel like spending a crazy amount. You can also look around on other sites.

Check the link in the second post, also any search on autozone or rockauto or any other place that sells them will be correct bolt-on replacements for the year you select.

Different Vehicle Leaf Springs
GirsMJ86 replied to dscowell's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Sure thing, hope it helps. -
I'd pick it up. Make it known you know all about DW and what it can entail and try to get a good deal for taking it off their hands. A dealership doesn't want to pour money into a used car.

Different Vehicle Leaf Springs

I have a few. Might need a new bulb but they worked when I pulled them. 10 plus shipping sound reasonable? Shoot me a pm and lmk. Also have a Kenwood CD player if interested. Could take pics when I get home tomorrow.

Yup, sounds like a waste of a nice charger. But I'll be watching for it.

My 91 only had one key but odd thing was, when I ordered a new door cylinder it was too small. So they either ordered the wrong part or something was odd about my truck. I never bothered fixing the problem before I sold it and just left the cylinder out of the door. You could always have a locksmith re-key everything.

Leaf Springs Question
GirsMJ86 replied to ftpiercecracker1's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Check out the list found here. Metric tonne springs were just a larger spring pack with an overload spring, so you could easily clone that with a bastard pack if you want. Could also upgrade the rear shocks to these, I just ordered some and will be getting them in next week sometime if you want me to take before and after pics. -
That's just uh... I seriously have no words for that. :hmm: The double wide JK is even more stupefying.

My '91 had an AAL and shackles in the back with a 3" kit up front and it sat level. Had 31's on it with Canyon wheels, 32's would have fit fine with stock flares and no trimming. Had to put a longer bolt in for the steering bump stop or else they would rub the LCAs on full turn, but otherwise fine. I didn't do any off road stuff though so wasn't worried about stuffing them, otherwise a bigger lift or trimming would have been needed. Since Bushwackers require trimming, you would be fine for 32's for sure. Unless you already have the Bushwackers, you may want to check out the flares in the vendor section. Same basic thing only cheaper. 31's also can be fit on stock height, so even a 1.5" lift would fit 32's unless you need to stuff them.

Dual Diaphragm Brake Booster On An '86 Mj
GirsMJ86 replied to onlyinajeep726's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Are you going to also be swapping in the XJ valve and ditching the MJ prop valve on the rear axle? If so a write up with pics along the way would be awesome since the only one I could find in the DIY section involves the WJ BB/MC and didn't mention the prop valve.- 18 replies

Clean 91 Comanche Eliminator...$6500 :(
GirsMJ86 replied to H3RESQ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
That's an aftermarket Fey bumper, not stock. I guess you are right. Must not have taken as good a look at it and just assumed. :thwak: -
Welcome to the club. Very good looking truck, and a '92 Eliminator... jealous. Of course if I had it a 4wd swap would be required, otherwise it's perfect. Glad to hear it belongs to someone who respects it and will just be doing a resto on one of the rarest of the bunch. The flares just look like the factory unpainted ones from the pics, and the black grille looks good I think. I'm biased though, both my Eliminators had black front ends. In case you don't know, Spencer now has '91/'92 Eliminator stickers. Wish he had them when I had my '91 Eliminator, I had him make the '88 style ones for me because I couldn't get measurements for the newer style and used them.

vacum disconnect + and - 's
GirsMJ86 replied to 1990 Pioneer 4x4's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Why not just replace the whole axle then to a non-cad one? Those can be had for less than the kits and that eliminates the cad area altogether. -

:agree: Just use the write-up I did awhile back that I linked to on page one and is now in the DIY section, here is a link even. CAD fix -
Gas Gauge Reading E When Full
GirsMJ86 replied to Dmac0312's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My '91 read E when full because there was an older sending unit installed and the wires were not swapped correctly. Swap your wires and get back with us, also make sure the ground is clean. -
I have one on my '86 with the EFI kit, works well. Can't personally speak on reliability since I only just got the truck a few weeks ago, but the PO had it installed when the engine was rebuilt several years ago. You can hear it kick on when you turn the key, but other than that quiet (or at least I can't hear it over the truck). Seems to be nicer than whatever the one was I had installed in one of my old K-10s, that thing was noisy and was removed from the truck for that reason alone.

Doubt it is ground since only issue I'm having now is the turn signals up front not flashing correctly. Cleaned the sockets and they work fine as pure running lights. The dang things will not flash though, only the front lowers flash. With or without the headlights on. Thanks for confirming they are suppose to flash though, I couldn't remember for sure. Guess I will have to do some major digging sometime when I have the chance or get my cousin to take a look since he has more free time than me. The wiring in the engine bay looks awful, when they rebuilt the engine and stuck the EFI kit on the thing everything was just spliced and hacked together with horrible wire routing. I mean, none of my gauges work except maybe the speedo, but since the slave is out I can't drive it so I'm not even sure if it does or not. :wall:

Well new bulbs are in but the corner lights still don't flash. I could have sworn on my other MJs the corner lights flashed opposite the front lights, am I mistaken in thinking that?
-
I'm sure I've seen this talked about on here before, but yea it was neat seeing that. I downloaded it several years ago and toyed with it. Was really surprised it was an MJ that's for sure, but that wasn't enough to keep it on my device.
-
I've not gotten around to messing with the headlight switch yet, but the turn signal issue was the flasher module. I swapped them and the turn signals started working and hazards did not. So I'll grab a new one of those, I guess I just assumed the worst since it was sitting for so long and home to a squirrel or something. I did notice only the front lights worked as turn signals, so either the previous owner has the wrong bulbs in it or something else. I'll pick up some new bulbs as well and see if that gets the corner lights flashing as well or not. Thanks Paradise, I completely forgot about those modules until you said something.

1997 Jeep Comanche? Lakeland ,fl
GirsMJ86 replied to 88whitemanche's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I would bet it is an '87 and it also has more wrong with it than a radiator hose needing to be replaced.
