  1. Man, wish I could find treasures like those. That tailgate would be perfect, and I'd grab as much of that blue interior I could as well. As already said, I'd be grabbing those taillights as well and stashing them. I'm also partial to stashing rear flares too.
  2. I think the conversion looks good, but you gotta take it all the way and do the interior too to really make it count for something anymore. Even though I really like the look of Prime, I agree that it is becoming pretty common. My preference is the 10 slot grilles, I even did a swap to a 10 slotter on my '91 I had. Took some minor modification to get it to all fit together while using the single piece '91 headlight doors, but that's where my heart lies. Probably because I love the look of the FSJ razor grilles so much, even more than the rhino. I'll still continue to admire really nice conversions though.
  3. Front looks sharp.
  4. Awesome deal. If I had a place to put them I'd grab em and start combining.
  5. Since it's been awhile since I was active around here, or had an MJ to worry about looking for this stuff, I figured I would see if there were any developments in this area. I know Spencer was making the tailgate letters, Eliminator words, and some other smaller stuff, but has anyone undertaken the task of making the 4x4 tri-stripe hockey sticks that are seen on the '86 ads yet? I know this has been brought up before but well, gotta ask. Would love to have some of the silver ones, or maybe some custom blue ones. Have some pics to better explain which ones I'm talking about.
  6. That tailgate ruins that one for me. Don't get me wrong, it's nicely done, but I want my jeep trucks to say Jeep across the back.
  7. This thing is a beast, I love it. It's the Hot Dog of the 'manche world, except you're thinking with portals*. *sorry, it's late. I had to...

I was mistaken, the badge I have is a 2.5L one and a couple '4 wheel drive' ones.
  9. http://huntington.craigslist.org/ctd/3652784301.html http://huntington.craigslist.org/ctd/3725624672.html Doesn't look horrible, but it was painted somewhere along the way so no clue what got covered up.
  10. Just looked at your topic with that truck. It looks really good, if I had the cash I'd come get it for sure since I'd love to have an '87 since it's my birth year. Really wish my Vic would sell so I could. >.<

I think I have a 4.0L badge around here somewhere. I'll dig for it tomorrow and let you know.
  12. Here is my Malamute, Cricket, in my old '91.
  13. If you want to do a swap, grab one from a 4.3L. It bolts right up and provides increased flow for a bit of a boost in performance. Might be of interest to you: http://s10forums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2104
  14. I just want to say that we've pulled grain wagons overloaded with corn out of mud that was over the axles out with chains. Took 2 tractors (a 706 and 1086 or H), they were sliding around in the mud like a couple of dogs on ice, but the chain was fine after it finally came loose from the mud. But yea, straps are best. Of course let's just state that everyone should have a winch front and back and call it good.
  15. Scrapped it!? There is still some body there, that is considered just about mint here in Ohio. Looks like it is coming along nicely. I love the Eliminators, so can't beat it. What's your opinion on that rust protector stuff you used? How do you think it compares to por-15? If it's similar I might look for some because I'm sure it is cheaper.
  16. http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/3743715312.html I sent a text asking price they would take, I'll report back once I get a response. And yes, I already know, I need that. But sadly my P71 isn't a 5spd. Can't shift and eat donuts at the same time while in a high speed chase apparently.
  17. O.o Wow, they are twins. That is just crazy. And normally I absolutely hate silver vehicles but these things look great with the 97 front end, blacked out lights, and the silver.
  18. I painted the cab vents on my old '91 with rustoleum and it stuck just fine. I used a metallic black just for a bit of subtle flare and so that they were not as black as the body and stood out some. The camera doesn't do it justice, looked much better in person. The flares were painted along with the body and they looked alright. Will be interested in seeing how that Forever Black stuff turns out, I prefer unpainted flares and want to go that route on my next MJ.
  19. Well now I don't know if I'd go that far, the 350 is an awesome motor and the 454 is even better. A family friends brother has an old J-Truck with a 454 swapped in and that thing is a beast, the 401 guys have nothing on it. :laughin: But in all seriousness, just look at this pic. All those vac lines... that is just uncalled for.
  20. Sweet, there is a thread. Was odd nothing popped up for me when I did a search. Think I got 5 topics and they had nothing to do with an MJ, just the transformers movie. lol Thanks Alexia, got the links. I suppose this topic could be deleted then.
  21. That thing looks great. Love the color, just needs the some polished stock Eliminator rims and it would be perfect if you ask me. By the way, what lights are those that you used for the interior domes?
  22. I've never seen this thing around here, even did a quick search that turned up nothing just to be sure. Everyone behold the ultimate MJ with XJ conversion that should be used as the ultimate persuasion to get Jeep to build a true truck again... http://kateindeed.deviantart.com/gallery/?q=jeep Now uh, if you'll excuse me, cold shower time.
  23. pfft This is the part where I say "But it's your kid, you feed it. I just modify and tire the thing". But uh, yea. TPS sensor. See we're still on topic...
  24. Would chipping give me driving privileges every other weekend? ;) Ah the joys of being a broke college student eh? I'm having to sit and twiddle my thumbs waiting for my P71 to sell before I can get the MJ I want because of brokeness. :fs1:
  25. I had an XJ overhead console that I was putting in my '91 Eliminator back when I had it. Not much to it honestly. More than likely it is just a fuse/ground problem. Worst case senario is that the screen is shot. If that is the case the console should just be held up by a screw or two and it slides back and off the brackets. Then just unplug it and reinstall one from a JY.
