  1. Fresh off the UPS truck. No quality issues that I can see...
  2. I'll go another direction... Looks like a HD front bumper with a winch would level it out nicely.
  3. I ordered the military wrap set from them on 10/28 and received the tracking # literally 2 hours ago. I was also told 6-8 weeks, so a nice surprise to see a tracking # in 4! From what I understood, the military wrap are the only ones they actually make - the others are made overseas. When I spoke with them they said the GSC571 was a custom build they did specifically for us here at CC, hence the cheaper price (already reflecting the club discount). I believe Don was the one to initiate this. These springs are not advertised to the public anywhere, unless you have and search for the GSC571 part #.
  4. Roll the window down, and standing outside use one hand to reach in and rock the lock lever back and forth while trying the outside handle with the other hand. Once it opens, it's time for cleaning/lubrication/inspection. This has worked for me in the past. Hope it helps!
  5. IIRC when I did mine, the "gasket" is actually more of a "grommet" - meaning the glass fits into the seal, then it all gets glued in. I doubt you'd get one out of the junk yard in usable shape. Pretty sure I paid around $20 for the brand new gasket from Pilkington. Safelite would likely be around the same.
  6. Plasti dip. You'd actually be protecting it!
  7. Anyone?
  8. The last Cherokee I had, the rear wiper motor was shot so I pulled off the hose from the nozzle to the gate, leaving just the nipple sticking out. Was fun to squirt friends behind me at stop lights and on the trail. Also had a buddy with a 55 Chevy gasser wagon with a moon tank on the front. Just for looks. We decided to put a ball valve on the bottom and fill it up with the beverage of choice. Was fun seeing people reactions at cruise nights when we poured a drink from the "fuel" tank...
  9. Dammit Pete. Your map had you missing Martin's/Fort Collins area. I would have loved to have been able to take you for dinner and a beer...
  10. I use Blackvue front and rear in my Silverado. Came with this for recording while not running. No problems in the ~4 years I've had it. https://www.blackvue.com/power-magic-pro/
  11. That's a 97-01 XJ tail lamp.
  12. I'm looking for a good condition long bed topper. Would prefer fiberglass, and at least close to cab level. Would rather not travel much further than a couple hours from Fort Collins. Would really love a LWB Wildernest if anyone's looking to part ways with one.
  13. ^This. There's actually a good chance they have an alternative to the "leather" wheel, as VEGAN is becoming a popular word in new car dealers these days... https://www.peta.org/living/humane-home/vegan-car-interior-options/ (I'm not affiliated with PETA or vegans. )
  14. And I'm well aware the D35 is not worth spending much on. If I had an 8.8 laying around it'd already be in it!
  15. Thanks for the input. I was leaning toward swapping entire assemblies, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an easier solution. I've set up gears before, but always new parts. It's a pain for sure. Was (wishfully) thinking maybe the housings would be close enough for a drop in type swap. I'm assuming the differences you speak of are more casting tolerances than anything? Just curious...
  16. Hey All, Picked up my 6th Comanche this weekend. This one is an 86 2.5l, manual trans (unsure if 4 or 5 speed - disassembled at the moment). Floors are gone, but the rest is mostly rust free. I'd love to save it and put it back on the road, but the PO decided to start taking things apart before it was abandoned, and a lot of it is now missing. Also no title, so this one will most likely be a parts donor and the bed will become my new trailer. This truck does have D30/35 combo with 4.10 gears, which brings me to the question in the title. My (brown) 88 has stock D30/35 with 3.55 gears, and I'd like to swap in the 4.10's. Would you swap the entire axles and gamble (or spend the money) on new brakes/bearings/seals? Or just swap the pinions and carriers? Any cautions or advise you can offer on the swap? Thanks in advance for the input! (Obligatory Jeep pics)
  17. Parts hunting is my career. The only modified/restored/customized vehicles I'll ever be interested in is the ones done out of passion, not profit. Car shows are good examples of this. I'll walk past the store bought big money builds, and gravitate more toward the low budget, enjoy the hobby type builds.
  18. You didn't say cheap... https://www.camarocentral.com/1982_1986_Air_Cleaner_Assembly_5_0_Liter_H_O_p/air-1984.htm
  19. (not mine) https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1985-1992-Jeep-Comanche-pickup-bedside-R725/323798393770?hash=item4b63e363aa:g:pO8AAOSwyMRczxTZ
  20. If it's only what's pictured, you're missing 3 brackets...
  21. My 87 2.5 reservoir was also on the radiator brace...
